Two main ways:

The wacky thing is is I have been fighting a cold like thing for 3 weeks and it typically doesn't take me that long to get over a cold. Only had a fever the first day, afterwards kept feeling feverish, check, no fever. Shit just left me with a wet cough. This weekend suddenly got dryer. No shortness of breath or fever yet.
