Only two weeks ago, the average person had never heard of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), more colloquially known as the Wu Flu. The symptoms are incredibly mild; runny nose, sore throat, fever. Basically a flu. The death rate for the infected will likely be under 1% when it's all said and done. The virus originated in the Hubei province of China. Due to the well-known pitfalls of globalism, the virus spread quickly to other countries through relaxed air travel between various countries.
Enter Dr. Anthony Fauci (pic related). Tasked with preventing this "deadly pandemic" from spreading through America and killing "2.1 million people by the end of the year", as some allegedly prominent scientists had guesstimated, Fauci and his panel of unelected officials (most of whom look like quintessential catladies) released a guideline that all states were suggested to follow... or were they ordered?... or just suggested? Who knows? But at the moment that President Trump had convened this panel of doctors, the death toll was at a mere 39 deaths nationwide. Most of the deaths were nursing home patients over the age of 80. In the haphazard rollout of the Fauci Lockdown protocols, the state Governors were left holding their hats and wondering what exactly they were supposed to do.

Some states went on 15 day lockdowns, some states went on indefinite lockdown, some states didn't go on lockdown at all. Whatever the case maybe, it is very clear that any state that implemented any aspects of the Fauci Lockdown were in clear violation of multiple Constitutional rights. The right to free assembly being chief among them, the Fauci Lockdown had required that all "bars, restaurants, or any place of gathering be closed for 15 days... or maybe until July... or August... who knows". Any clarification of the Fauci Lockdown protocols by Fauci, himself, were lost on most Governors as they had already gone into indefinite lockdown and weren't about to back off of it now. Some Governors even used the Fauci Lockdown as an excuse to start violating other cherished rights. The Mayor of Illinois, Deborah Feinin, used the Lockdown as a pretext to grant herself the authority to ban the sale of firearms and ammunition. California Senator Kamala Harris suggested similar measures.
Trump got more votes in Illinois than Clinton in the 2016 primary where she beat Sanders.

All of this bedlam and chaos has taken place only over the course of a few days. As of March 17th, 2020 (yes St. Patrick's Day Parades are canceled this year), it's difficult to tell how this creep towards full martial law will play out. But one thing is VERY clear: allowing your country to be ran by a panel of unelected doctors is an utter disaster. Imagine a world in which Anthony Fauci was appointed to be a "healthcare czar". He would be allowed to take something as benign as the common flu and put the whole country under whatever lockdown measures he deems necessary; a bizarre country-wide experiment in which every citizen is essentially turned into a lab rat for Fauci's thesis. And as a result of the Fauci Lockdown, many people are owed large sums of money for their inconvenience. The only problem is... Anthony Fauci does not have the power of purse strings. He is not liable in the least bit for any revenues lost during this time period. Do you wanna know who is liable? YOU, the taxpayer.

Who really knows how this will end, but what we should all be in agreement with is that panels of unelected officials being in charge of policy, with no checks or balances, is a completely unmitigated disaster. Tread carefully, America. And for all of the so-called conservative libertarians like Tucker Carlson and Mike Cernovitch, you might want to really apologize to your base for throwing all of your values out of the window the moment that China sneezed.
