It's not just about the price.

Most of contracts with hotels, restaurants, food chains are broken (most are closed on quarantine measures). The farmers have to find new buyers and it takes some time. Meanwhile, supermarkets have no meat enough to sell.

There is a shift of demand towards the markets and supermarkets towards people who now have to cook and eat at home.

It'll take some time to readjust, but it's a lose-lose situation so far for both supermarket clients and farmers.
