I cook a lot so i got standard fare and a lot of niche stuff for cooking since im a hohol but i love baking and asian pallet, got plenty of soup base, rice seasoning (look it up), oils, vinegars, etc. Fuck eating bland.

We actually bake our own bread normally anyway so it's just having extra on hand. It also makes a valuable thickener for soups, which can make them a lot more filling and calorically dense.

If you need to cook with something use animal fat (tallow, lard, etc), butter, ghee, coconut oil, palm oil, avocado oil, or olive oil (for light cooking only).

Concerned I haven't got enough. Two person household.
Got a couple of kilos of rice, like four kilos of oats (figured it would be good to have something that I don't need to cook and I can't digest wheat). About ten litres of milk-substitute. Couple of kilos of peanut butter (calorie dense) and four packs of rye bread (lasts for ages if kept sealed). About half a kilo of honey. A few packs of snack bars. A dozen tins of soup. Bags of lentils and dried beans. Packets of nuts. Cupboard full of tinned mackerel, beans, corned beef, tomatoes. Freezer full of food. 48 rolls of toilet paper. Couple of packs of soap, eight little bottles of hand sanitiser left, got enough IPA and aloe vera gel to make 3.6 litres more. Several litres more IPA for spraying and wiping, bunch of cleaning products.
I don't really know how long that is likely to last if we have to live off it. Looks like maybe a couple of weeks, a month at best.
I'm just hoping that I don't really need to rely on the stash except for occasional shortages. Not sure if the average person is any better prepared. Lots of people in Aldi today looking bewildered that stuff wasn't available.
At least nobody in the house is old or sick, so shouldn't need to isolate.

Tallow and Ghee can both last a long time at room temperature provided you store them properly. You can make your own tallow from beef suet (really cheap cut of meat you can find at farms or butchers), it's pretty easy.
