A big issue in Italy has been their use of anti-inflammatory medicines which actually seems like it is causing more compilations.
The fever and inflammatory response is natural to fight a virus and bacteria, using the drugs lowers the immune systems efficiency and lets the virus replicate and overcome you.

that should be a common sense. acetaminophen and other antipyretics (which is what you were referring to) should pretty much never be taken for fever unless it's life threatening (above 39+C/102.2F). Your body increases temp with a single purpose to make it uninhabitable for viruses and bacteria. taking antipyretics literally takes your immune system out of equation.

The people who suffer this critically I doubt have any capacity to sue one of those, they take tiny short breathes and oxygen becomes the issue before pneumonia so they are put on a ventilator.

Yeah but people at home when they get a fever, even a mild one will start taking those medications and in the case of this virus, that in itself could leave them getting seriously ill so this information is vital. Everyone has panic bought these types of medications.

well just monitor it, if you feel "well enough" you are probably OK. high fever, when you have to take something, feels like you're about to die. that's when you should take something, but that's also the time when you should be looked after by a doctor anyways. most people will never experience such fever in their lives. Acetaminophen or Paracetamol in Europe is on the other hand excellent in treating headaches toothaches, migraines or other similar pains as long as your liver functions properly and you don't go over the recommended dose.
Do what you can to support circulation, oxygenation, and ventilation until the patient recovers or dies.
