Well, too late is good answer. It depends on the province. In Ontario, I got mine in 3 months total from the course to receiving the loicense.

the trick to buying supplies for events like this is that you should be buying nonperishable staple ingredients that you already eat as part of your normal diet. that way you can keep up a couple month supply without anything ever expiring by just eating and replacing stock before it goes bad

plus you won't have to dramatically change your eating habits more than is necessary should you actually need to start consuming your emergency supplies

then you're still eating pretty cheap user. best case we just eventually use all this shit. worst case you're gonna make it.

Then you'll have purchased things in bulk (cheaper), practice your meal prep skills and have peace of mind.

Just want to throw it out there that getting your PAL and RPAL is easy. Itll take some money and some time but you will pass if you try. It is far easier to get then a drivers license for instance. Its a simple multi answer test and a simple competency test that is all common sense.

Any idea how long the test is good for? I took it, passed, and got the associated papers year ago, but never bothered to submit the application.

Classes are booked two months in advance. Test and course takes 2 days. Application process another month.

I've seen cases that sent them in years after and got their licenses no problem.
