Panic in general is feminine. I bought my prep in three waves as I watched and monitored. Last wave was finished about two weeks ago, the first one was the last day of January. I am sitting on 400 pounds of rice in addition to a 88 pounds of my favorite protein powder. I have a pantry of all my typical menu items - only enough for three months. A man should always be on top of things - that should be the default.

Exactly what I did. I live by myself but since january I've been buying food as if this was a household of two. So nothing too excessive, I did in no way cleared out entire shelves of the supermarkets, no one was inconvenienced by my actions. But enough to build up a nice stock over time. I figured: worst case scenario I am prepared for lockdown. Best case scenario I just have a bunch of stuff laying around. I am genuinely surprised the majority of people didn't come up with something that easily makes as much sense as this.

Lmao it’s not even hard to do. I saw what was happening in Wuhan and South Korea, then it spread in Italy and just went and did my normal grocery shopping but bought double what I normally would. I did this like 2 weeks ago and there were no shortages of anything.
It wasn’t panic buying, it was my normal consumption for the next 6 weeks purchased all at once. I didn’t get 400 rolls of toilet paper. I didn’t get 60 gallons of hand sanitizer. I just got enough to live on comfortably for a month or two, and if need be stretch it for a couple more.

A lot of people don't cook their own food so they don't have food already stocked up. The trend I seem to have saw was people just generally people who cook their meals at home already have a bunch of shit so they bought just a few more items. Then people who rarely/never cook started to freak out and they bought 2 weeks worth of food. Then others see this who have waited and they see food supplies going down so they rush to the store to get food. And then people who really waited are rushing around now. The first day that a case was in Florida I went to Sams and bought some extra stuff that I would need. I went back today to get a few more frozen foods that I normally need and people were panicing. But the weird part is people buying toilet paper and hand sanitizer and not canned goods or dry food. The shit is airborne so washing just don't your face when you are out and wash your hands when you get home but if you're near someone who is sick and coughs or sneezes you're probably fucked and no ammount of hand sanirizer or soap will help you.
