I'm reading the King James Bible and there are a ridiculous amount of stupid passages about oxen and paying tribute to Him with blood and a variety of seemingly random methods to appease his jealousy.

Can anyone help me out here? I wanted to like Christianity.

Wow dude it's almost like the Bible was actually written by retarded sheepherders

>NO NOOOOOO NOOOOOOOO JUST SKIP TO THE NEW TESTAMENT BROOOOO JUST IGNORE THE OLD ONE NOBODY EVEN READS IT NOOOO NOOOOOOOO NOOOOOO JUST BE LIKE JESUS BRO IGNORE THE MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF SLAUGHTER AND BLOODSHED IN THE BOOK BEFORE HIM NOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

at least bother to quote the passages youre seeking answers for

>omfg nooooo not the heckin moomoo oxenrinos they're so le heckin based like borko puppers with hornerinos!!!

Anyway the point of the old covenent was to bring forth Yashua from Abraham's seed. Everything in between is
>God helps Israel
>Israel are stubborn kikes
>the prophets warn Israel about what's gonna happen
>Christ is born and defeats death

Sounds like Leviticus. Is it Leviticus?

Lol read NT and then OT.

Other way around goes downhill fast after exodus.

The old testament had a system of sacrifices to atone for sin until the ultimate sacrifice came in the form of a sinless man, the only begotten of God.

you have to realize when the faith of Abraham, Pre-Christ-Christianity, came to be, the pagan world everywhere sacrificed humans and often children to their gods. So when the Bible goes into detail on how to sacrifice an animal, what really should be read, in the cullturall historic context is "Do not sacrifice humans"

God is a woman.

>reading the protestant bible
that's your first mistake

Post the verses.

>So when the Bible goes into detail on how to sacrifice an animal, what really should be read, in the cullturall historic context is "Do not sacrifice humans"

Would be easier to just say “Do not sacrifice humans or animals,” no?

But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’

Christianity starts in the New Testament bro.

The Old Testament is Abrahamism..

Jesus literally gives one commandment, it never appears in the Old Testament.

“Though shall love the lord thy god with all thy heart with all thy mind with all thy soul, and though shall love thy neighbour as thyself.” Their aren’t 613 mitzvahs that he tells you to follow.

Being a Christian in 2020 requires you to ignore large swaths of the bible and traditional teachings of the church in order to gel with modern sensibilities. This kind of cherry-picking is enough reason to not join the religion. It's not "God's Word" if you can selectively follow only the parts society agrees with.

Stop reading the Bible like a novel from cover to cover. Read the New Testament first starting at Matthew, then cycle back to the Old Testament as a resource, with the New Covenant setting the context. The blood sacrifices were nothing more than a type and shadow of what was to come on the Cross, just as the flood was a type and shadow of baptism, the snake on a pole was a type and shadow of the crucifixion, and so on. Understand the New Testament first, and if you want to dive deeper into the richness of God's dealings with His creation, then it's fine to go back and read bits of the Old Testament. If you start from Genesis and read it like a storybook you'll get burned out and confused fast.

Second point, Christianity is not what Paul wrote down either, he never met Jesus nor was he ever accepted by the apostles.

It actually has a lot of teaching points similar to buddhism

Matthew 5:17-18
17. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

>He's never read the book of Revelation
God is either glorified through people obeying him, or by pouring out his wrath upon them
Jesus came to be the perfect unblemished sacrifice for God's wrath, he took our punishment for us
If you believe on Jesus Christ, you will be saved from an eternity in Hell

get used to agricultural metaphors if you want to learn from the Bible.

this

Also the Bible is only as valuable as the sum of its parts.

Attached: pol.jpg (524x536, 83.62K)

Jesus is barely in the bible. Just about everything in it is heresy. You're all heretics.

The only coherent messages from Jesus that the pedophile church couldn't remove were to love your neighbor and that rich people will burn in hell.

Attached: god.jpg (291x214, 11.87K)

I read it cover to cover in gaol then I read it again starting with the NT. It really only drags on in books like Judges imo

>t. seething Sanders kike

Wtf are you talking about, Judges is brutal. Remember when Samson, blinded and beaten down, pulls the whole temple down on top of himself??

This. We're still supposed to follow those laws, at least where they make sense. I'm not gonna grow the hair on the sides of my head because I see that as more of a way for ancient jews to ID each other in combat, but for the most part we still need to follow them, with few exceptions.

No it doesn't.

"Love God with all your heart mind and soul, and your neighbor as yourself" is the summary of the whole Law, that is, the 10 Commandments. So it's all there in the OT. He fulfilled the Law because He kept the Law, while we cannot, because we are not fully man and fully God like Christ. We can't keep the Law perfectly, which is why the crucifixion and resurrection occurred. It was a rescue mission. The Christian Gospel is not based on us as believers keeping the commandments. While we should obviously try, we cannot do it perfectly, so it's all good because Christ did the work for us and imputes His perfect righteousness to us by faith. That's literally the Gospel.

Attached: tumblr_oudy1f2KCs1sr1lf3o1_400.jpg (400x350, 50.35K)

>Love God with all your heart mind and soul, and your neighbor as yourself
b-but i hate myself

Attached: pentag.jpg (512x506, 101.39K)

>modern sensibilities
"Modern sensibilities" are what got us into this fucking hellhole shitfest to begin with, they can suck it

That is our condition. We fail to love God, neighbor, and self. We're frankly total shit at it. But God so desired to save us wretched pissants from ourselves that He sent His Son to take on our flesh and redeem us through His holy living, sinless death, and resurrection. So you can't love your neighbor as yourself, and you can't love God with your whole heart, mind and soul. The only solution then is to confess your sins and failures to God and believe that what Christ accomplished is sufficient to save you. With that knowledge, you are free to then go on trying to love God and neighbor, however imperfectly, with the assurance that your sins are forgiven because your salvation is not based upon your performance.

(((King James))) lol

You're reading the old testament user. The NT tells us not to do that anymore.

how weak.

The fact that you can't discern the bullshit parts from the good on your own means you're nowhere near ready for the Good Book. Your mind is calcified son.

God is God, he has no race. God in the flesh is Christ, his genetics are divine not kike.

the jewish desert scrolls were a meme, it's all fake and retarded

Attached: not_a_pagan_ritual.jpg (960x960, 263.24K)

You are probably reading the Old Testament, which is full of archaic jewish sorcery and fetishism.
Stick to the New Testament

Attached: jesus_thumbs_up2.jpg (393x342, 47.46K)

Truth right here, the bible makes no sense to those without spiritual discernment. It is the test.

Attached: 1581201958996.jpg (727x426, 328.64K)

The tales of Israel are cautionary so we do not make the same mistakes.

>which is full of archaic jewish sorcery and fetishism.
>implying the NT isn't

Attached: miracles_of_jesus_chart.png (1450x2395, 232.21K)

It's probably fair to say His genetics were Jewish because while being fully God, He was/is also fully Man. With that said, modern Judaism is nothing more or less than a continuation of heretical Pharisaism.

People get caught up in calling him a jew as if that meant he had any connection spiritually or genetically to modern kikes though. his blood line is clearly defined in the bible.

Attached: pure linage.png (1920x1080, 174.24K)

God requires blood to forgive sin. Before Christ died animals were used. The new covenant that Christ established allowed his blood plus confession by a Roman Catholic priest for forgiveness.

I'm going to be attacked for saying you need a priest, but you do. Without the priest you have nothing forgiven. Even in the old testament you had a sacrifice ritual to follow for forgiveness.

They need to stop observing him as belonging to a race of jews. The jews belonged to him for he created all things. They reject him and now they reflect that rejection in their evil. Jesus belongs to a family, who's direct father is God. The jews are irrelevant to his legacy, as he rejected their dogmatic ways, and paved a new religion that would be adopted by the gentiles.

Attached: redpillchristian.png (1206x3328, 1.05M)

It doesn't get any better. The New Testament just retcons that shit with the introduction of a complete Gary Stu, which begs the question of why he wasn't just introduced from the start. They set completely different tones and it is just kind of bizarre. What is even stranger is that they atone the issue by doing something that itself forbids, which makes it pretty clear that the mangaka completely forgot what he was writing.

>ridiculous amount of stupid passages
>not 1 (one) verse given
they who whorshipped the calf where killed
try harder faggot

False. Proverbs is kino.

This

Christcucks and trannies share a lot in common, like publicly accepted retardation

>King James Bible
Ignore anything anyone else is posting and just take the spiritual aspects of the bible. Its filled with stories to help people living thousands of years ago make sense of their life.

Just focus on the spiritual aspects of it and dont get caught up in the facts. Me personally I think jesus was some ethereal being who was like "chill guys" and that's about it

Bro, you can only serve one master. Read the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that is the word of God you must obide by in order to get saved + be born of water and spirit (baptized in the name of Jesus)
>youtube com/watch?v=FumOCST6v98
choose, thats your free will, who do you want to hang out with in this life and get a helping hand from, where do you want to go after death. Choice is yours

Attached: 1571512422106.jpg (576x768, 126.78K)

Before Jesus gave his life willingly on the cross, to allow us to ask forgiveness of our sins, they often sacrificed an animal to do the same.

Leviticus-Deuteronomy are tough but after that Joshua is pretty good. So is 1 and 2 Kings. Psalms and Proverbs are great too.

You're a grown man with the same opinions as every 17 year old whore in the last 30 year. Kys.

sure it can pick up in places i guess

Honestly, the Bible Project will help you out. They offer quite nice introductions to the different chapters, important words and hidden meanings. These texts are really old, hard to understand and most "issues" have been dealt with.

Ok, well if you focus on the fact that the bible says the entire earth flooded and Mary just had a baby shot into by god and the salt pillars around sodom are sinners converted to salt you will be an atheist

>like catholic aesthetics
>dislike their theology
>saught a happy medium between the two, only thing is the Anglican church and we all know what the problem is there

I wish there was a conservative christian church with good aesthetics.

Attached: 1584290193873.jpg (800x900, 125.21K)

>dislike their theology
Theology isn't about taste. I was ecumenical for 15 years, but returned to the true Church. Faith alone simply doesn't make sense.

As many have said, Christianity more or less starts with Matthew, Mark, and Luke (3 different viewpoints of the acts and parables of Jesus).

Jesus's time on earth and ministry essentially exposes the corruption of the Jewish temple at the time, shows that god is merficul, and to remain humble and chaste. Much of the Jew's downfall and punishments are shown to be because of their pride, vanity, hypocrisy, and self-righteousness.

This doesnt mean you should completely ignore the old testament, but it's important to realize that the old testament is essentially Jewish history, with laws, parables, psalms, and important acts spread throughout. Ending with god's message that the messiah will one day come for the Jews (which is what Jesus is for Christianity, but is rejected by Jews who did not convert).

All these shills and retards tell you to just overlook OT as if its nothing... Don't drink from the poisoned cup. Its basically a trick to enslave goyim who would never accept this desert monotheism without Jesus who is the trick, once they have total control these same morons will be sacrificed for blasphemy according to OT law noahide law and they will be happy about it because they even expect it to happen. Look instead to the Greeks and the philosophy of nature.
