My old man is a commercial pilot, he said his airline is preparing for a complete shut down, and westjet is going to be laying off half it's workforce shortly. I should be safe but I expect to be having to support my parents very shortly.

The sectors that will do well are those selling basic goods like food for which there is always demand.

basically it's like a food chain and chances are that somewhere in the chain that feeds you there is something that depends on social proximity. Once that falls, so do you.

The ones that do well is the bare minimum personnel who provide necessities. If you're a sysadmin and you think you're safe, I hope you work for something, or something that services something essential like a utilities company and even then expect downsizing and outsourcing
