>tfw freelance fag

Top kek. All wagies losing their jobs and not earning shit while I sit at home make big $$$$.

Life is a bittersweet symphony.
Trying to make ends meet, you're slave to the money then you die.

I was about to get one, now there is a chance the company will decide to not hire anyone while everything is going to shit.

I fucking wish

old fag with 15 years service at my place - the payoff will keep me in neet life for 2 years

I work in healthcare, my job will never go away.

How would I lose my job just because of a virus? I keep seeing this, please explain.

I might quit my job regardless, I wrote my resignation letter on Friday and it's sitting in my jobs folder.

I'm on 4 weeks paid leave, just gonna play vidya.

you can see her roast beef flaps

Already on hiatus until at least September since I'm a college sports broadcaster. I'd honestly rather risk getting the virus than lose the thousands I could've made.

Can't loose what you don't have, eddyMurphy.png

sysadmin and stuff
can work from anywhere i have electricity and internet

>service economy
>can't serve anyone
it's temporary. you're company would just be wasting their own time re-hiring.

I lost my job thanks to mommy.

I am on call and only have to work if its an emergency for at least the next 3 weeks. Still getting 40hrs a week. Emergencies arent very common so ima be comfy as fuck until coronachan is over.

Next 2 weeks things will settle down, 3-4 weeks at most.

Danish government gonna pay 90% of the salary when people get fired because of coronavirus so idgaf, might ask to get fired honestly

based

>NOOOO YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE GOOD HEALTH AND MOTIVATION TO WORK A JOB THAT YOU LIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
>HAVING DEPRESSION AND LANGUOR DUE TO POOR HEALTH IS THE TRUE PATH!!!!!!!

Loss of jobs in one side will be compensated by gains in other, for example Retail will need to stock the supermarkets,Hospitals will need cleaners, and Also Mortuary services

Really, somebody explain the getting fired part, unless the employee has a job dealing with China in some way.

You think it won't apply to you because you haven't yet felt the effects. You will. Medical professionals seem ok for the time being but who knows what will happen with your savings/bank accounts.

i wanna drip my cum in her gaping cunt

Me. I work in the airline industry.

>tfw mine does
>I'm a relatively new hire
The only thing I have going for me is all the boomers at my job are ready to retire so as long as they didn't have all their fucking money in a 401k I might have that much keeping my job safe

WHAT DAT SMELL LIKE

>lonely
>pathetic

Hotel user here. I recommended cutting staff in January. Looks like we're now going with even more severe cuts than I recommended sadly. Like 800 down to 500 severe. There may be more to follow. I hope the unemployment system is ready for a buttload of new applicants.

Less people out = less customers = less profit = pinched bottom line = layoffs

I just don't appreciate the fearmongering lies, my company will close temporarily, doesn't mean anybody gets fired. But I work in Admin at a nonprofit, not retail, I still get a paycheck regardless due to everything being grant-funded. Curren grants don't go away just because of this as we ALREADY have the $.

>imagine being a retail faggot whose very livelihood depends on customers

nope

My old man is a commercial pilot, he said his airline is preparing for a complete shut down, and westjet is going to be laying off half it's workforce shortly. I should be safe but I expect to be having to support my parents very shortly.

Store closed today. Won't open for 2 weeks until the next shipment. I was told last week not to come in due to shortages of stuff to sell. That means Ill be with zero hours for 3 weeks and thus autoterminated by the system. I lost my job.

I work in logistics and I got my hours cut 2 weeks after the wuhan lockdown, that's when I saw this coming and prepped for my entire family

they thought I was losing my mind when I bought 3 months of toilet paper but my phone is filled with relatives asking for supplies, should've never told them

I quitted my job and going to get social money.

Hoping to get at least two weeks off soon. Teacher, so I'll get paid regardless

>Two weeks off due to China
>Come back for a week
>Another week off for Easter break
Beyond comfy

Cinemas, theatres, concert halls, sports arenas, high street retail, tourist industry, airlines, taxi drivers, gyms are now directly being affected in Europe. idk about the US but I assume you've heard about the NBA being called off?

Then the crisis will spread to other sectors because even if you have a remote job, lots of these people/companies spend money on the shit you make or the shit your clients make (who in turn will stop paying you).

The sectors that will do well are those selling basic goods like food for which there is always demand.

>whose very livelihood depends on customers
Well, the alternative is being a NEET

I mean, maybe, but I have other income sources.

Me

Work in a call centre have a dry cough and they’ll sack me if I take the mandatory 7 days off

Work construction at an airport. Hopefully they close the airports so I don't have to fucking go in.

my company will easily lay off at least 10% of total staff because of the global recession and.
401k was damaged like most american folks.
and unless there's a bank run, savings should be there - being more conservative with spending though

what kind of store? haven't heard of any stores in the US actually running out of stock yet other than TP

Best kind, leaf. Dont be a pussy.

I wanna nibble them

I'm currently a temp and was supposed to get an offer to go permanent last week. I suspect that they'll just let me go if they have to close down the office for two weeks.

I work in delivery and logistics, these past few weeks has been hell orders are up by 300% we simply cant cope, people will soon go sick due to working too much

*BRAP*
OH GOD YES MISTRESS FEED IT TO ME *SNIFF SNIFF*
*BRAAAAAP*
RIGHT TO THE DOME
AHHHHHHHHHHHH IM COOOOOMING

idk honestly been thinking about if i will
i package and ship dildos all day but business seems to be up

I posted this in another thread for the states, but I'm feeling confident for now. I work in the business of microscopy and every hospital wants their supplies asap and their calibrations done now so their shit doesn't go down while they are slammed. Same with the Pharma’s we work with.

Business is busy and sales are up

basically it's like a food chain and chances are that somewhere in the chain that feeds you there is something that depends on social proximity. Once that falls, so do you.

The ones that do well is the bare minimum personnel who provide necessities. If you're a sysadmin and you think you're safe, I hope you work for something, or something that services something essential like a utilities company and even then expect downsizing and outsourcing

Texas fag here. An advisory was put out to not leave your house unless you need to and the school district closed until April 13th or some shit. I install home theaters and TV's for a living. Pretty sure no one wants us in their homes rn. Our pos CEO is lying to customers about his workers receiving special training to placate them. In Texas you can file for partial unemployment if they stop giving you 40 hours a week and I signed up for that shit before everyone went crazy

Nice

>my company will easily lay off at least 10% of total staff because of the global recession and.

That's based on what you know today. Give it weeks and months of "social distancing".

By the way, what sector, if I may ask?

>tfw rental properties may keep me a float for a while

>filthy peasant tenants better pay up or end up homeless during virus outbreak

>should've never told them
My dumbass gf was posting on FB that we got ready a month ago blah blah. I made her delete that shit
