You're right about mistakes happening when you think people are qualified, but with a lot of the people he appointments, qualifications come second. Sondland donated a million dollars and was given an ambassador position, crazy black chick kissed ass and got a position, Trump and Rudy said everyone knows Cohen is a liar, so when asked why he was hired in the first place, Trump said he owed him a favor, Ben Carson is retarded and knows nothing about housing, and Pence was appointed to head pandemic response so he can control information. Qualifications aren't a priority to him, not that that's uncommon in the business world.
