And if you don't think that defending capitalism entails "hating poor people and starving children and hoping bums die on the street", then just stick around and read a few threads where someone challenges capitalism, and watch how quickly start advocating exactly those things, verbatim. Watch the rabid, fulminant, incandescent fucking hatred that bursts out toward poor people, starving children, and homeless bums. The conversation turns to gas chambers and eugenics really fucking quick. And it goes down that lane hundreds of times, in hundreds of threads, every single day here.
The amount of vitriol this board will collectively unleash on any person less fortunate than themselves, anyone they perceive as an inferior, who needs help, is frankly psychotic. To feel so much more rage at the prospect of a thousand impoverished families getting $10000 a year in food stamps than they seem to at the prospect of a handful of MIC companies getting billions of dollars in tax subsidies is legitimately fucking crazy.
