Anyone else get sick back in January?

I had one of the strangest illnesses I've ever experienced at the end of December (it caused me to miss Christmas with my family). It seemed like a mixture between a cold and fever. I had a fever along with a horrific cough that would cause me to double over, but very little mucus or phlegm. Lasted about a week.

Yes I had a bad runny nose all month long. It is not cold where I live. Eventually it cleared up.
However, I am now out of toilet paper.

I got “sick” in early February. Literally just felt like sleeping all day one Saturday. Felt weak the next day. Back to normal on Sunday. No clue what it was but I beat it really quick.

I had a horrible flu last January. I was really sensitive to light and I had an extreme fever. I had to soak my had with a wet rag to keep it down for weeks. My jaw hurt and my head kept pulsating in pain. My cough was also dry and I developed bronchitis after it for a few more weeks.
I haven't had the flu since I was a kid so I can't compare.

My whole family got it and we must have caught it a bit before christmas. My gf and I moved on the 26th so the incubation period had to have been since the 23rd (last time we went outside)

I did. Went to a new years party, got sick shortly after.

It was noteworthy because I almost never get sick. This was the first time in probably 25 years that I had any sort of cold or illness.

Headache, fever, lots of coughing, sore throat, major fatigue. I wound up sleeping it off, sleeping close to 40 hours in a 48 hour time period.

It’s not the only virus about, and free pollen’s starting to take to the air in February, even up North.

daughter had a chest infection around christmas that lasted about 4 weeks and 2 trips to the dr for antiviral and steroids, no one else in the house got it though

Female coworker and her husband have been on and off sick real bad past two weeks. Everyone at work is now complaining of on offf GI discomfort, chills, weird headaches/dizziness/feeling like head is squeezed and slight fever. The females bf was vomiting really bad initially. Today she was at work but could barely perform and couldn't drive home. I was off today and next three days because of a planned ski trip but i called it off. Past three days i can feel my lymph nodes inflamed and last night had a 100.3*F fever. Yes but it was really weird how short it was. I only get chills when I have the flu, which I had back in January but it only lasted two days and then I was fine. Felt a bit off for a week or so but nothing really bad. Usually the flu keeps me in bed longer than that and I don't feel right for at least a month.

All we need to do is get 1000 random normal average people, test them, and see if they have the antibodies. If like 5-10% test positive, then that would prove the hypothesis. Has anyone done that?

On Christmas Eve I started having breathing trouble and felt I should go to hospital, but held off because I didn't want to miss Christmas Day.

Coronavirus isn't influenza but seems like there is a chance that whatever mechanism helps glycerin to kill the flu would also help destroy the coronavirus. You can call me crazy, but I believe I was infected in October of 2018. I was convinced I had the flu - aches, coughing, fever, etc. Went to the doctor and the swab came back negative. It later developed into pneumonia and took over a month to go away. Sickest I had been since I had mono years ago. The mucus can only be described as grey with a very foul odor. Non-smoker.

Yes. Took a business trip to San Francisco and returned home on January 19th. January 23th I fell ill with what I assumed was the seasonal flu despite having gotten a flu shot. I was pretty sick for 4 days but recovered. The cough and mild chest congestion is still hanging around though.
