Both my parents beat me, my father used a belt, sparingly and never more than what was needed to emphasise the gravity of my offense. My mother repeatedly called me a failure, a piece of shit, a waste of effort, threw things at me, pushed furniture on top of me, even started physically fighting with me in front of her 3 yr old grand daughter.
