Just make sure the draw strength is enough to take down big game, and be prepared for a finish up. Most arrow kills won't be instant but even bears run when hit and invest in hunting arrows. The arrow kills by bleeding the target.

My favorite pistol I own is a Walther. Also have Sig's plus much more. The only completely America rifle I own is a bolt action 30-06 which fires very well. But I agree with your assessment of German engineering. Walther shoots like a dream.
