So, the way I see this is that modern Christianity (protestant flavor especially) came from a white, european tradition. Ultimately, skin color doesn't determine a persons behavior, but it does influence group identity. Why do blacks, asians, whites, ect. have sterotypes said about them? Because a shared cultural and physical identity tie humans together. It's why we will self segregate even when no law or authority exists saying we have to. This doesn't mean a non-white christian Europe couldn't work, but it would be hard considering the multitude of religious and cultural backgrounds that people from outside Europe came from.
