I used to be deep into it maybe 10 years ago but I have realized that the average person, who will scrunch up their face and laugh at you as if you are missing the obvious, cannot even justify why the constant race for the construction of new smartphones or computers or cars or anything else is a good thing. They cannot explain why faith in technology and the cult of progress is justifiable or desirable.

We should be living in a pre-Industrial world, rising and sleeping with the sun, spending our days growing food and mending our clothes and tending to our property and playing with our kids.

We should ideally be in a pre-printing press situation, something that has done nothing but harm to the real situation of people's lives, leading to the proliferation of lies, the spread of ideology not compatible with material reality, and the "intellectual" revolution, where ivory tower professors can tell us all the true value of our lives better than a father can tell from looking upon their smiling child.

No, leave that stuff for the eggheads rushing towards their own doom, I will settle for patience, satisfaction, humility, health, prosperity and the light of truth.

Inevitable evil.

> Get that wiretap right into your brain goy.

based if its getting rid of niggers

Transhumanism is the inevitable outcome of AI and the singularity.
Feelings wise, I doubt it would be any worse than things are now for most of the world, only with loan installments for hot swappable body parts and always on access to the net, in whatever form it is.

I'm for it if it inevitably leads to posthumanism. Human nature is a dead end at best and a cycle of pain and suffering perpetuated on the rest of reality at worst. The only way we can be better as a species is to purge ourselves of everything that makes us human. It's the only way we can evolve and progress past our pett, self-indulgent nonsense.

I'm perfectly okay with it. I want to see the peak potential of humanity and limiting itself to flesh and blood will only hold us back. Starting colonies on different planets would be a hell of a lot easier to manage if the people on it didn't need to breath and things like construction would be quicker if everybody could lift 10 times their weight

I think you should kill yourself faggot OP

With central banks driving inflation, this changes the common man mindset to skip the kids event for business meetings.
They are already programming you. When the robotic parts come, we'll swap our human parts because we see no value.
At that point the human mind is nothing of value.

Our hope towards becoming a interstellar civilization.

It's a necessary step for posthumanism. Soon we will be liberated from the flesh.

Stupid crap by sandniggers and other scum, you can't use your cellphone without getting jewed, imagine this kind of technology.
It's has barely any advantages over using a modern Human-Machine Interface but several dangerous and inevitable problems.

Transhumanism goes beyond mere cybernetics. Genetic engineering, nano-enhancements and bio augmentations all play into it. The possibility of external influence is indeed a peoblem with Mind-Machine Interfaces but those who decide to have such system open, instead of closed can only blame themselves.

It seems like something that must be resisted. The feeling comes from the same part of the brain that tells you your eyes are burning when you stare into the sun. I dont care what you guys do I'll be right here holding down the ruins until I die.

The focus of transhumanism is transforming the human condition for the better through technological means. Two thousand years ago, being able to replace a missing leg with a functional replacement was not a part of the human condition. Now it can be, thanks to technology. Living with poor eyesight used to be a part of the human condition, now it is not. Cancer was a part of the human condition and we're hoping to eliminate that with a little more effort and research. It used to be a part of the human condition that no one could possibly live over the age of a hundred years. Not anymore. It used to be a part of the human condition that infant mortality had a rate of 30-50%. Not anymore. All of the things that were once part and parcel of being human are suddenly not, and this is a good thing.

Ground-level, realistic transhumanism is focused on continuing to improve the human condition. I'd like to live to see the first man or woman comfortably live to the age of a hundred and fifty before I die, something that's impossible for humanity as we know it today. I want to see genetic disease exterminated, something that always has a chance in the modern world. I want a lot of the horrible little things that we have to deal with as human beings to disappear, thanks to the aid of technology. Perhaps once these biggest problems have been eliminated, we can turn to those loftier, more questionable 'problems' that transhumanism in science fiction tackles. But that's a long way from the present and that's not all that transhumanism is.

Your feelings are illogical, meatbag. Simply obtain some polarized lenses to observe the sun.
Besides, there's a massive human flaw which is the lack of ear lids. Transhumanism solves these glaring errors.

You're such a "very smart" faggot.

I've never seen a more based first post.
Transhumanism is a rejection of all that is divine within us. Imagine being created in the image of God and thinking you can do better. It's nothing short of evil to attempt to modify the human body.

we're getting there, you and your a smartphone together you make a super intelligent man with infinite knowledge and connections compared to a man from older generations, imagine how far from eugenics we are going to shift when neural access to the internet is developed for the common man
you'll look like a caveman to a man from 2070

If (((they))) get first dibs on it we basically lost. Same with gene editing. If you ever thought there were disparity between the classes you've seen nothing yet come these technologies.

Transhumanism is the only way humanity can move forward.
Ethnic nationalism has somewhat unconsciously tapped that question.
ie: a nation or race is only as good as the people in it
And human beings as they are now are not nearly the optimal choice. The only problem is most people are incapable of imagining what something superior to them looks like. If it's done incompetently it's just as likely that humanity irreversibly fucks itself, but no big loss on that part.

>I've never seen a more based first post.
Thanks user, always good to hear my thoughts resonate with others. Have a good day user.

user, put on some polarized glasses and gaze into the sun for 15 minutes this morning and report back.

Man has, since it first picked up a rock to throw at a prey animal, tried to free itself from the confines of nature and found at each turn a punishment for his hubris. He has solved each of nature's punishments with yet another technology and been instituted a yet more severe punishment each time. Transhumanism will be Man's final victory over nature or his final extinction at the hands of it.

>The focus of transhumanism is transforming the human condition for the better through technological means
You assume it will be better. Replacing all your diseased parts so you can live to 1000 years old, going through mental changes and subtle fluctuations in your thought processes over time that could be a change not unlike madness. Imagine dwelling on perennial questions of faith or meaning when you can access the same information for centuries, how maddening must it be.

How can a man really confront issues such as faith when he needn't die? All religion will disappear and we will enter an untold new stage of spiritual bereft-ness that will make the current wave of YouTube atheism look like kiddie play.

We will complete our transition into narcissism and consooming. The only source of good will be frivolous entertainment as all meaning questions like how we should leave the world economically for our children will disintegrate. The best you can hope for is eternal stasis as we realize we have to live on a dying rock, so we cling inevitably to making zero impact on our environment, living increasingly in virtual reality and never confronting the things that make the soul cry out for meaning? You cannot have that crying out without suffering and the possibility of the individuals demise.

That's what got me into machine learning. But corporations are leading us into distopia and I better live like a cave man than a slave to jews.

based cunny poster

Allowing THEM to directly hack your brain, what could possibly go wrong?

All neural tech should be banned, and people working on it dumped into the sea.

>doesn't know what the human condition is

Fake and gay

Being a featherless biped of course.

It sucks and its gay, punk ass bitchbois

edgy degenerate cybertrash
future slaves to some assholes running an ai thats gonna jerk them around like meat puppets using brain wires.

transplants, illnesses, prosthetic appendages, etc have nothing to do with the human condition, which is for lack of a better term, psychological. so your argument in defense of transhumanism dies with the premise

>retarded nonsense
the end goal of transhumanism is to transcend suffering, as if its something that can be accomplished by external forces. just like the mythical goals of marxism, it assumes universal happiness is something that can accomplished through authoritarian means

>You assume it will be better.
Depends on the person. Most will welcome low-level of transhumanism as it will help them to not suffer under senility, alzheimer, genetic diseases and wounds that would normally had left them crippled. Beyond that I could envision a wide accepetance of non-radical transhuman tech that will be utilized to either increase life quality or increase capability. Having the choice how long one can live, to be as smart as one can be or in general to stand in zenith of human potential and yet staying human in form and thinking. Genetic modifications on the embryonic stage, nanosymbionts or MMI can be put in this category. Beyond that exists the posthuman stage, that disregards human form and pushes towards most excellence or ideals. I personally could see myself disfavour parts of those developments, but agree with others. The possiblity of autosentience intrigues me most.
>such as faith when he needn't die?
Even a posthuman will die, even in only 10^100 years. If reversible computing, energy gain from vaccum or the construction of artifical universi are possible, then such posthuman will still die one day. Beings that know a beginning must know an end. I`m an atheist myself and as such I have no greater interest at maintaing spirituality but I know the resilience of metaphysics. And I would miss its speculations.
>We will complete our transition into narcissism and consooming.
The transformation into a posthuman civilization will take centuries and know much good, much evil and much ugliness, but what I know is that it won`t be simple. There will emerge many mindstates and societies from the various developments.
>we realize we have to live on a dying rock,
The first fictional astronaut was a cyborg and the cyborg was imagined to be an inhabitant of the stars. No, even a transhuman civilization will not stay on earth. From a human earth a transhuman space will develop. And from that posthuman stars.

I don't, because it'll never happen. It MIGHT have at some point if white people had been left alone. But now that their lands are being colonized and they're being ethnically destroyed, technology will peter out and then collapse in the near future.

Personally I favour genetic engineering but I do not see it as the plus-ultra of everything that can be.

Do you have any experience with this kind of technology or are you a retarded jew?

Transhumanism is the obvious end goal of all philosophy.

>the end goal of transhumanism is to transcend suffering
I disagree, the end goal of transhumanism is to search all possibilites, to learn everything that can be and to not one be limited by its origin. Setting the mind free.

the end times religion of atheist science global capital technocrats.

This.
If you've been paying attention at all to the trend in computer technology, the wild frontier of Ghost in the Shell type robot bodies is absolutely dead and anything even approaching that sort of a future isn't going to be one you're not going to want. Because every single computer chip produced today has backdoors built into it by the government so they can spy on you and hijack the system if necessary, and the only ones who don't have bugged hardware is the ultra-rich using military hardware which used to be made everywhere but is now increasingly manufactured solely in Israel for Jewish use. So your super robot hacker future is now one of immortal rich Jews lording over dehumanized worker bots networked to a social credit/remote torture system that compels them to be slaves or risk unending punishment. And the rest of the population of the planet will just be killed.

>your EULA with [augment company] grants you a LOICENSE to use, NOT to own, this implanted debice...

yes goy dont forget to buy your tri annual maintenance package!

what do you mean you disagree? its in the fucking mission statement

Martine Rothblatt is a leading voice in the trashumanism movement and a self-professed marxist. S/he is the highest paid "female" big-pharma CEO in the world and a top ad donor to corps like Disney, Comcast, Google, etc. this person wants a global communistic society where she writes the rules for everyone because they're too stupid to find hapiness and meaning on their own. wonder where the wave of wokness being shoved down your throat came from, from commercials to movies to music? see martine rothblatt

Attached: rothblatt-pig.jpg (1500x1000, 96.24K)

I did genetically modificate a worm, but human augmentation presently exceeds everything one can do. Maybe some black clinics could genetically augment a baby.

I just print business related things on my printing press, not bibles and thesis’s.

>printing has done nothing but harm
Printing press also allowed for the proliferation of beautiful works of art and brilliant philosophical insights. The very philosophical position you’re currently espousing was not originally conceived of by you; without the press and subsequently the internet, you would never have arrived at these conclusions on your own. As for low tech living in general, I agree that it would better suit our nature, but it will also leave us helpless in the face of global catastrophe. Wouldn’t it be better to harness technology to immunize ourselves against likely extinction scenarios, then find a way to use it to recreate the pre-Industrial mode of life for the average person? Perhaps create voluntary biomes where people can live as they would have in the old days, with elite technocrats maintaining it from the outside?

>she
Transhumansim is not a organized group. There exists many different opinions on how and towards what goal technology should be done. Is Peter Thiel, Elon Musk or Raymond Kurzweil a Marxist? What does Ander Sandberg, Nick Bostrom or Stephen D. H. Hsu have to do with Rothblatt? She is just another Californian Millionaire. Palmer Luckey is another Californian Millionaire and invests into Designer Babies but is a discreet republican. Transhumanism is presently just a bunch of nerds, arguning about bio or cyber.

its the logical next step of evolution

OK, you don't know shit then.

>voluntary biomes
>with elite technocrats maintaining it
kek

Attached: 1583985172049.png (1152x648, 33.89K)

I think this is a reasonable approach to transhumanism, but it’s also trivially obvious that if you change humans incrementally you will eventually cross a threshold where they stop being human. If the technology to augment the human brain exists, to the benefit of the augmented individual, some people will do it. Those incremental augmentations may have unintended consequences; who can honestly predict how it will warp the human conscience? These changes could eventually produce a race with only superficial ties to their human grandfathers, who are essentially eldritch in nature. I think hard limits must be enforced, and technology should only be employed to preserve the human form as it currently exists (replacing damaged body parts, eliminating disease, and extending life) and not changing it (boosting IQ past what a human can ordinarily be born with, which might be connected through hidden mechanisms to other parts of the human mind).

not only do you not know what the human condition is, you don't know what transhumanism is

>goy
When will you stop pushing this stupid nonsense.

the only thing about "transhumanism" i like is stem cell immortality, all that other mechanical or electrionic crap can get out.

>elites are bad mkay
Option a: We globally revert to pre-Industrial living until someone inevitably reinvents the technology we currently employ, proliferates it, and recreates modernity.
Option b: We use technology to deliberately cordon off parts of the world in a perpetual state of pre-Industrial technology, and entrust its maintenance to an elite.
There’s no option c, and option a isn’t stable. If you want man to return to a more wholesome way of living, someone has to actually keep the rest of us in that stasis. Not to mention using that technology to prevent us from getting wiped out all at once.

No reason to be a super anything when you live as a slave to the elite controlling your thoughts

Is someone even conscious/alive when all their thoughts are controlled?

Keep a closed system. And the elite is no monolithian shadow but just a bunch of bickerers. even a genetically augmented human can be hacked via nanomachines, its better to have one`s own nanoshield than to leave it open to attack.

It's a load of RP fantasy trash to distract creative males from actually joining the cause to correct the West.

>2 options in a world of infinite possibilities
>thinks humans are machines already
>ignorant of culture, individualism, and propensity for corruption

>keep it a closed system
impossible
>elite is no monolithian shadow
Not important, in fact it makes it worse because now i may be used to fight other elities pawns in some pointless war
>genetically augmented human
>hacked
just like our bodies fight bad biological threats with white blood cells a genetically modified human can have something like white blood cells that fight nanomachines
