That was enough for me to stop caring what people thought about me and I put my mask on and left out the opposite entrance. People gave me weird looks but idgaf at this point. That old lady definitely had it.

Also, N95 respirators only have a recommended lifespan of
about 8 hours before they start losing their potency. You could probably push it a little past that, but it's not effective beyond a certain point. You'd be good for about a day before you'd have to remove and replace it.

I live with two people over the age of 65 and one person who is immunocompromised. If I get sick, they get sick. If they get sick, very likely one or more will die. Not taking any risks. I'm going to wear a mask and goggles, and if that rubs you the wrong way you can fuck yourself. Coming into contact with the virus doesn't mean shit. If you accidentally touch the mask with your skin while taking it off it's not going to burrow through your skin and infect you. Inhalation is where 90% of infections come from, which is why wearing a mask works. If you get it on your hands you can wash them off. Being careful while removing a mask is prudent, but it's not a make or break situation. No matter what you are better off with it than you are without it. Anyone who says otherwise is trying to sell your propaganda.

I actually bought some masks in November 19 incase I get sick at work as I work on a ship. Can't really take a day off in that situation so I was going to wear a mask. Should have bought more boxes then but no one even knew at the time.

Said this in a similar thread, but I was confronted by a group of men in public who tried asking, then convincing, then demanding, then threatening, and finally physically trying to get my mask off.

They claimed it was because I was scaring people despite that I was just sitting there minding my own business, but I could see and hear that it came about because their women saw me with the mask and didn't like it/were gossiping till they were getting hysterical and asking them to do something about me.

So yeah, I actually was grabbed and efforts made to physically restrain me and remove my mask by other people. I only was able to stop it by showing my gun on my hip. I quickly left after that because it just wasn't worth the trouble, but after that I simply haven't gone out since.

I've been wearing a mask here in Minnesota for the past couple weeks. It definitely feels awkward, but some of us have to man up and start the trend. It's totally irresponsible to not protect ourselves, and do what we can to slow this virus down at this point.

That's not correct. Most N95 or better respirator masks get better at filtering the longer you use them as long as you don't get them wet. That's why it gets harder to breathe. I generally wear mine at work for a whole week before they suck real bad. Half face respirators with replacement filters are a must if you sweat alot.
