I work for a telecom and we're considered essential national infrastructure. That doesn't mean I can't be laid off but it is less likely than it is for most wage slaves. Baristafag here too. I gave my 3 weeks notice as soon as a case popped up in my city a few days ago. Hopefully the human to human cases are less than 5 by the time I leave. Most of our customers are older anyway so if the Virus spreads to the estimated 60% of the population I expect most of our customer base will be dead soon anyway. Plus I've noticed our customer base plummet since the case was announced. Figure they'll go out of business within the next few months, so as far as Im concerned, Im making the right decision.

I work as a Firefighter/EMT. Unless the housing market tanks for the entire next few years, I'd be worried. If anything, I have more job security right now. When this shithole state gets locked down, I'll be one of the few allowed to travel and still work.
