The way the media is reporting these numbers is extremely dishonest. In all my years I have never seen a reporting of directly confirmed cases vs. mortality rate. Such numbers are of course not a reflection of reality in any way, since it doesn't account for all the people who get the sniffles and don't go to the doctor. This situation is even worse, because the testing kits for coronavirus are hard to come by, so they're rationed in many countries. It's understandable that boomers are terrified when they see numbers like that... 1+% and shit. But of course, these numbers don't reflect reality at all.
