Americans have no real reason to think about irrelevant foreign territories that don't affect their everyday lives in the slightest.

The US is a weird place. The smartest and dumbest people I've ever met were both Americans.

If you've never been there it's not what you'd expect, huge difference from state to state. Food is nearly always shit. Breakfast is an exception but even that makes you sick after a while. Beer is surprisingly good. People generally very friendly though maybe that's because so many of them have this weird hard on for brits. California is a hell hole, the most annoying accent you've ever heard and full of fat Latinos. All in all I quite liked it.

Says a man who's never been here and doesn't own a passport.

Just giving my impressions mutt. Do you think the fact the rest of the civilised world says your food is generally pretty shit is just a big conspiracy?

I have a passport and I've been to the UK a few times. The food was mediocre at best, but the beer was excellent.
>the rest of the civilised world says your food is generally pretty shit
You're the only one saying anything here, pal.
What does your image have to do with food.

What didn't you like about the food, fren? Why did you like the breakfasts more?

Don't worry we love you too cuz

US has 14 3-star michelin restaurants, UK has 5

Kill yourself.

That's a little silly. I like Waffle House, but some fancy restaurant no normal person can reasonably afford to eat at doesn't make chicken nuggets that look like a sponge magically better by proximity. Conversely there is Gregg's.
There's a lot of great food in America, but most of the really good stuff will only be prepared for you for free in someone's country home, with their garden vegetables and such. Mass production food is intrinsically shitty, no matter what flavor it has. Goyfeed is a thing. We are the undisputed kings of goyfeed.

Well it was just really disappointing. Too much processed crap and that weird red sweet sauce they seem to put on everything. Texmex is foul. The steaks weren't all that, I've had better burgers over here and trying to find some decent cheese or even bread that isn't like brioche is fucking really hard.
Pancake breakfast with bacon eggs and maple is bloody gorgeous I have to say. And I once had a dinner that was fried chicken on a waffle with hollandaise sauce and maple syrup with corn bread and gravy that was fucking banging.

This 100000000000000.

quit going to shitty chain restaurants then, there's tons of decent mom and pop's

Attached: 1547445167381.jpg (1280x720, 149.21K)

This, all processed foods and they spray that plastic american cheese on everything

I can't believe I'm having to tell you this but not every pub in the US exclusively serves budlite and Coors. That's the impression we get here anyway.

Yeah, I could see that. I imagine you mostly ate out at restaurants? Euros have a much deeper cheese culture than we do, and I really enjoyed the bread in my time in europe. Russians have this shredded chicken in a bun thing that I still fantasize about. I've been meaning to try the chicken and waffles thing, and fuck yeah cornbread. A good chili served over cornbread is a fine thing.

this. Don't be such a shit taste faggot

Yeah man, but I suspect a lot of them have ingredients that are basically doritos at the end of the day. A sandwich made by a person with processed gobbledygook is better than a sandwich in a bag made by a machine. Waffle house is nice when you're drunk and it's 2 am. Mom and pops are better a lot of the time, but they have different hours. A lot of mom and pops struggle to stay afloat and consequently cut a lot of corners behind the scenes.

Was mostly restaurants yes. Amusingly it was the little places out in the middle of nowhere with only 3 things on the menu that did the best food. Eating at peoples houses was quite often a pleasure.

What region of the UK would you say has the best food overall?

OP probably isn't even European.

*dabs*

>Russians have this shredded chicken in a bun
I know only this. Chicken, mushrooms, sour cream or cream, dill, onions, cheese

Кaк кypицa пиpoжки, я нe знaю. I wish I could remember the label on the window. If I remember right I picked a couple up at the Gostiny-Dvor metro station in St. Petersburg. Old lady running the shop, fucking things were delicious.

London for variety
Scotland for native food

The only thing I hate about americans on this board is that they always fall for these slide threads.

You either didn't read closely enough or you're just having a laugh. Either way I love you, Australia.

I wish I could have seen London when people still lived there. What do you think is the best Catalan food?

Restaurant wise I'd say its very hit and miss. Wouldn't say one region is necessarily any better than the other. London and Birmingham generally has a very high standard of Indian food for obvious reasons. I wouldn't say Britain has particularly good food, certainly less so than France or Italy. We get good regional food ie fish in coastal areas, nice traditional dishes in non-chain pubs

Fuck off oven dodger. The worst thing about the US is that we stopped the Germans from wiping your kind off the planet. For that I am truly sorry.

The best cheese I ever had was some kind of imported English coastal Cheddar. It had little calcium crystals in it that gave it a really cool double texture without being weird. I imagine all the cheddar you had in America was kind of like having a surreal joke pulled on you.
