The virus originated in the US.

USA already had it, but the doctors just assumed it was the flu. We all were sick with a disease we'd never experienced before this past winter. A couple weeks after everyone here was sick, the "mysterious illness" popped up in Hong Kong. It was reported on for a couple days, we thought it was a psyop to trick protesters into not protesting. After those few days of reporting, reporting on it stopped. There was a media black out on the mysterious illness, and 2 weeks later there were reports of a brand new virus originating in Wuhan China.

It started here. It traveled to Hong Kong because of American tourism. Hong Kong discovered it was something new, something different. The choice was made to stop reporting on it and wait for it to appear in Wuhan, and then blame China for it.
