I sure wash my hands way too often. I wash them whenever i go to the toilet, when i‘m preparing food, when i touched anything gross like cleaning out cat litter, when i come home. Basically, my hands are dry and itchy as fuck. I have hand lotion at every sink in my home.
I used to be one of those people who don‘t really wash their hands, but somehow this changed and now it feels really ducking disgusting if i don‘t. Maybe i have ocd, who knows. I also have started to feel very grossed out by the thought that others might not wash their hands and then touch stuff i also have to use or shake my hand, so i usually also wash my hands after being in contact with strangers. I think washing your hands that often might actually not be beneficial. Somehow it feels like having dry ass hands makes it easier for germs to stick to them, but that could also just be germaphobia.

Good that you notice. I find the panic behind buying as much hand sanitizer silly because of that. Even with all the hand sanitizer you could possibly want, in the end hands need to be washed. The irony of it all is that there's a practically unlimited supply of antibacterial soap and antibacterial baby wipes compared to hand sanitizer right now, which tells me people don't like washing their hands.
Also, don't touch your face. There's multiple vectors for infection on eyes, nasal passages, and mouth.
