DEFEND THIS LOGICAL ARGUMENT:

After 3 months and only 4,000 deaths in a worldwide population of over 7 billion...I have a few things to say...

1) Nothing that has actually happened -- the numbers, the science -- the numbers don't justify 1% of the hysteria.

2) The media are the Jude Law character in "Contagion" -- degenerate mercenaries hyping snake oil for political reasons (anti-Trump) and pure greed (clicks).

3) Everyone screams LOOK AT ITALY. Okay. Italy is half the size of Texas but still has 1/5th American population. It's densely populated. What's more, some 7500 cases over 4 weeks, only 765 dead ... in a country with 62 million people. That does not justify anything close to panic.

4) Italy has one hot spot, which is stressed, but you don't gain context by looking at a crisis through a soda straw.

5) 4K deaths over 3 months worldwide in a population of over 7 billion. 765 deaths in Italy over 4 weeks in a population of 62 million....Seriously?

6) The only contagion is panic.
78) People say WE'RE NOT TESTING IN THE U]S. -- but we do know the death count -- less than 50 deaths over three weeks. And the testing will probably prove a whole lot more people have this (some don't even know it), which means the death rate is MUCH lower.

8) If the average age of those dying is 80, as reported, that means corona is not killing anyone, it is merely the last straw for the frail.

9) After 3 months have passed. I would add that if there were 40K worldwide deaths, 10 times the number we have now, I would be writing the same thing.

10) If things get bad, I'll say so, but as things stand right now, the hysteria in the media and market is obscene.

Nobody? No predictions or realistic scenarios? I guess that time will tell. Italy will be the sacrificial pawn and hopefully everyone else will learn from it. Rest in pasta.
