i think what young people should be doing is trying to boost their immune system as much as possible and eat as healthy as possible to prevent severe reactions to the virus if you do get it, because if you have a bad reaction to it the risk is going to be lack of hospital availability for respiratory issues

Considering the lack of adequate PPE, I'm sure. Consider also: even if we had all the right gear (and personnel - we're already stretched thin every day and night under normal circumstances thanks to the greedy suits) we'd still get hit eventually, because it just takes one point of failure. Working near these other people every day, visitors likely won't be restricted until its too late, ancillary staff moving throughout the hospital delivering trays or supplies, staff floating to different areas before showing symptoms (or just being silent carriers). Then even if no one fucks off we'll still be hammered when workers start quarantine.
