Some people dont care about where they work as long as its comfortable and they dont have to break their back. They go in they do their 8 hours and thats it. You know how trades deal with life when they come home back all sore and what not. DRUGS. A narcissistic person can at least thrive in an office environment if he/she plays cards right.

Some people have no 401k or retirement plan so they accept the fact they have to work till death and rather do office where you get to be lazy than customer service or manual labor

It's not ideal at all, but it's a relatively comfy style of living compared to say ruining your back by lifting bricks all day or tending a farm by hand, so it's a huge step up from many manual labour jobs. Remember that people doing those kind of jobs are absolutely ruined by the time they're 50-60 and live most of their retirement in pain.

The trick is to try and make the environment as nice as possible. Running a small business for the first time, we try and pick a nice office, we hire people that have a little something to do them, kinda smart with IQs above average, we allow banter and kinda one-ups-man-ship, we're very loose on the rules, we hire mostly men because to keep a good atmosphere women are just a distraction. We will hire them but only if we're sure they're kinda salt of the earth types who aren't going to demand to see HR the moment a man says something stupid.

Have a 730m2 office space rented on 47 floors building.
Basically the biggest part of the office space is my office with a decent 95.85m2.
The remaining is one huge open spaced office playground for my employees.

Because some will push in that a good 250-300 at the same time. I have 32 constant employees and 5 sometimes coming in (but they can actually do their shit from home).

Also I allowed everyone to bring their pet, which changed to Dogs only because I bring 2 dogo argentinos to work each day and about a year ago they killed a cat from a employee (some soi latte sipping fag as latter turned out). Had to fire him after that, I pulled that he was stealing from the company by doctoring some footage around with my techguy.

I get paid 70K, amazing benefits, spend about an hour and a half at the gym while getting paid, leave early.....lifesgood.gif

I used to be tradie for 15 years, now working as technical consultant in one of the biggest FMCG companies, 90 % of employees are women, despite so called processes nothing gets done on time, pure chaos. Millions wasted on implementing some worthless systems, for somebody who came from hard working environment this is a fucking joke and I intend to milk this bitch till corona kills us all

I don't understand it. I work mostly outdoors for the gov. Every time I need to show my face in the home office is unpleasant. The fluorescent lighting and no humidifier in the HVAC system so humidity is like 20% in there in winter. Bunch of women in the office who keep the temperature at 25 C. The people in there are zombies.

I work in finance and my office is filled with a bunch of other white ex-frat bro chads that I enjoy being around. The only women we have is our secretaries which are of course sexy as fuck and under 26. Also I hate open yuppie offices like that, we all have our own office rooms. And I'm out of the building 2 - 3 times a day including lunch.

I make tunnels. 140k dollars per year. I sit in a warm machine and listen to music mostly. Sometimes I get bored and help the dudes who hang up the ventilation or waterpipes, and sometimes I help the mechanic, but only if he has coffee, otherwise, fuck him. 10 hours a day, 14 days work, 14 days free time, I work 4.5 months total per year. The worst thing about that job is if the office rats wants to go to check on us, they are so fucking useless, it hurts. They stop the production or slow it down every time. Nothing pisses us off more, since the more meters we produce, the more we get paid.

I work at a car rental company, make good money but I agree that it's a very unhealthy environment, during the summer I often spend more than 12 hours in the office and work 6 days a week. I honestly don't know how this is even allowed but I don't have other options. Actually I do have options, working as a hotel receptionist for 1300 euros a month, but that would kill me.
