>A woman severely beaten by her husband while she was pregnant, is calling for him to be deported after his release from jail as she is “scared he’ll kill next”.
Tajik, originally from Afghanistan, had “groomed” Ms Walmsley on Instagram and “coerced” her to help him move from Turkey to Ireland.
After a short and volatile marriage, asylum seeker Tajik attacked the then pregnant Ms Walmsley, fracturing her jaw and eye socket and causing swelling to her neck.
Tajik pleaded guilty for assault causing harm and he was sentenced to three years in December 2017 at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin. He was released on February 19 and Ms Walmsley is concerned he’s again trying to attract women online.
>“He’s served two years, two months in prison but he hasn’t changed.
>“I have lesions on my brain, my jaw didn’t heal properly as I have a displaced disc, so I might have to have an operation to rectify that. He’s a danger to women, he’s a master manipulator. His sentence should’ve been much heavier.
>“One more punch and I believe I’d have died, I’m sure of it. If I hadn’t lied to him that I still loved him, that I understood, that I forgave him and that I wouldn’t tell anyone, I think my life would have been over.”
Ms Walmsley, who miscarried with twins shortly after the assault, still suffers jaw pain, PTSD and depression and she’s very concerned about Tajik dating again in Ireland.
>“He coerced me into marrying him. Even two days before the wedding, I had a black eye. I was afraid I couldn’t get out of it, so I married him. I’m scared he’ll do this again to another woman and he shouldn’t even be living in Ireland after this.
