Thread title.
Ask an expat living in Poland anything
The flag is upside down
where are you from? why did you come? why do you call yourself expat and not immigrant?
So poland is basically socialist like every State out there? Got it
At least europe has estonia
Venezuela.
Work.
"Expat" sounds better.
No, there are nogibtsmedats here.
Probably because he's talking to civilized people in his home country - and is here not to work for money to send home, but to use the country as a holiday home. Theres a difference.
I actually wish to stay in Poland for good. That's why I learned the language.
How often do Poles assume you're an Arab?
Has never happened. Most people correctly assume that I'm from South America.
How are the Polish girls?
The quality of women is certainly higher than in the West. You still see inked single moms who proudly sport piercings and weird cuts.
Most women here are taken before they are 25. A lot of them get married in their early 20's, and if they are not married, they're either engaged or at least in a long-term relationship with their high-school sweetheart.
That's respectable, how are polish men are they easy to become friends with or are they hostile with foreigners?
Are you familiar with the parties? Who would you vote for?
Do you think slavs are the niggers of the white race?
It depends on the men. I have yet to experience hostility. Generally Polish people appreciate it when a foreigner learns their language or at least makes an honest effort to do so. I am a Catholic, and that certainly helps. So yeah, I would say they are friendly. Generous and hospitable, too.
PiS and Konfederacja are the "right-wing" ones, yet I don't see much of that right-wing mentality in them. I frankly don't believe in democracy, and thus don't care about parties. The problems created by a weak democracy can't be solved by creating more and more parties who are simply hellbent on gaining more power.
I've only had bad experiences with Ukrainians, which I tend to avoid. Poles? Not at all. They're rather passive people. Sometimes too much.
That's good to hear I've heard from friends that are South American that Scandinavians are actually very introverted. I would think Slavic people would be similar, but they don't seem to be that way.
Does poland accept criminals wanted by interpol
Asking for a friend
What experiences did you have with Ukrainians?
Wrong.
PIS is actually even more left than leftists in case of economy. They do have some conservative views, however they are pure socialists.
where in poland do you live?
Slavs and Germanics are not similar at all. I say that as someone who's spent a lot of time in Germany.
Probably
Racism, mostly. They also seem to be poorly educated and lack basic manners. I can't stand lack of intellect, nor reprehensible behavior towards others, hence my tendency to avoid them. I've met a few who were OK in my book, but they were sadly exceptions.
Socialism is "OK" as long as it is reserved for a nation. It's bad when it allows foreign elements to abuse that system. As a foreigner, I don't agree with handouts for children of foreigners, for instance. The nation should be a priority for a socialist government.
Lower silesia.
Why are all the polish in the US such niggers? Like literal reptiles. Im talking miakisz, bazonski, sulkow..
The best of Poland...lives in Poland.
I "understand" when people abroad have a bad opinion about Poles, because the diaspora is usually made up by Polish people who, for whatever reason, weren't able to make it here, and thus had to emigrate.
>Sometimes too much.
How so?
Also are you familiar with BezPlanu?
did you learn polish history? do people do the silesian dinner in lower silesia? I live in upper silesia, everyone here does it but don't know about lower
what do you mean? funny surnames or actual people?
That's interesting considering that Ukrainians are worker immigrants in Poland. What exactly did they do give you dirty looks, weird stares, try to start problems? I would think poles would be more racist considering they don't want non compatible immigrants.
What differences do Germanics and Slavs have?
What are the work opportunities like?
Actual bottom feeders.
Polish niggers in NY gang up like spics.. Most intermix.
Um.. Youre not taking into account ww2 displacement..
I think it's that Magnesium-filled water Poles seem to like. I've read somewhere that it calms the nerves or something.
Well, Polish people don't have a history of attacking other nations. Crime rates in Poland are also low in comparison to other European nations.
>did you learn polish history? do people do the silesian dinner in lower silesia? I live in upper silesia, everyone here does it but don't know about lower
I know about the major events, but obviously, I can't know everything. Your nation is very old.
>That's interesting considering that Ukrainians are worker immigrants in Poland.
I know, that's what makes it ironic.
No dirty looks or stares. Insults or disrespectful behavior.
I have yet to experience racism from a Pole. And I've been here for 2 years, so go figure.
Germanics are more "machine-like". More organized, straightforward and analytic.
Slavs are more flexible and easy-going. That's cool when it comes to interpersonal relationships, but at work it can be irritating at times.
Very good, especially for those in IT. If you know foreign languages, you're set.
I'm not talking about them.
Everyone here is racist deep down, we just don't feel like expressing it in hostile way is worth it. We are cautious. Not many would outright attack you as a sign of racism, the more common way would be just putting a distance. We tolerate Ukrainians a bit more too because they are slavs and generally get the basics of our language more, but not like they have the best opinion among polish blue-collar workers either. From my experience, and what I heard from people working in other companies, Ukrainians are crazy lazy, always pretending they "dun underdant" the task you want them to work on if they decide it's too tiring, and on top of getting normal salary they will usually have rent and/or transportation covered for them, which is infuriating to every local who has to work all the same or more and then cover those things from their own pocket. Ukrainian women workers are usually the worst in those regards.

I can confirm all of this.
I've always said cockholes are based
I think at this point since Poland and eastern european countries haven't been flooded with immigrants they still believe some non white races are okay. I get the feeling poles are more curious about different cultures than racist.
You're a minority.
Except Turks and Islam believers in general. My city had a lot of turkish students through Erasmus and it always caused problems, but that's their own fucking fault too. The retards always waltz into clubs in groups and think they can hit on any girl they want or just own the place, and then get their asses kicked by locals. Many such cases. The religion conflict obviously also comes into play, tho in this case more in contacts with older, more religious generation. They are also more prone to play the racism card when confronted, at which point even those who'd rather stay neutral snap. Basically we understand the reasons for and want to be tolerant, but the moment some shithead demands it, we are like lol no fuck you.
>My city had a lot of turkish students through Erasmus
Gdańsk?
polacken here living in Germany but visiting family - why would you ever choose to live in this 2.5 world shithole?
Słupsk. Got annoying when one year your dormitory had enough free rooms you could rent one without any roommates, and the next year there were so many transfer students half your dormitory was cockroaches, every room mandatory 2 students, and even then filled to the brim.
Because after living in Germany for a long time, I can safely say that life here is better.
Man, after living in a dorm with muslims, I'll gladly live under a bridge instead.
are you retarded? germany is a complete shithole
Money isn't everything, maybe actual poles appreciate their culture and like their traditions
What was your name after Pat?
>pollack saying germany is a shithole
lol
>I can safely say that life here is better.
where did you live in Germany and for how long?
Germany is way less unified country than Polan and has very diverse regions, some of them much more conservative and traditional
Based.
People in Germany are not wealthy. Most of them live in tuna cans, because the country is pretty much just as big as Poland, but 81 million people live there. Besides, there are TOO many immigrants and the country lacks a cultural identity. Here, you just want to be Polish because of how strong patriotism and nationalism are. You feel welcome to integrate.
>where did you live in Germany and for how long?
Berlin, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart.
I spent there around 7 years. I speak German fluently.
"some of them much more conservative and traditional"
That doesn't mean a lot in the greater scheme of things.
My only bigger issue with the ones next to me was their singing, so fucking annoying, one time I got so fed up I blasted full volume "1 hour of dogs barking" kinda video, they were so pissed but I couldn't give a single fuck anymore, I knew they were supposed to leave in like 1 week from then anyway. And I apparently got the better ones too, other students were complaining much more about their neigbours.
It's the mindset. I moved back from the Netherlands and even if that means I earn less at least I know I'm among people who generally think in similar way to me. As a nation we are very pessimistic. Even something simple as chitchat in work is completely different. When in Poland someone asks you how your day/weekend was, it's normal to complain about something, let it out, say it sucked, that something went wrong, because it always does. If you were to do the same in the Netherlands they would be confused as fuck, you are expected to be all happy and put an optimistic front, even if inside you want to kill yourself. You start bottling it up and hate yourself.
Hey nigger, stay there, never ever come here again
Thanks and fuck off!
>Most of them live in tuna cans
you have never ever left your wiejska chata in podkarpacie didn't you?
>because of how strong patriotism and nationalism are
yeah, especially between poles who would kill each other just because neighbour got a slightly better car and has a better life
all polish people are delusional just as niggers in affrica who sit in their shitholes entire life, create an online bubble re-confirming their thoughts that the outside world is worse.
Poland has air quality similar to India, let that sink in, this country is utter garbage and will fall apart economically within the next 5-10 years max
so you basically lived in the worse German shitholes, still much better in terms of infrastructure, healthcare, living quality etc than all polish big cities combined
Do you prefer masturbating into a shirt or into a sock in poland?
>My only bigger issue with the ones next to me was their singing
It is even worse during Ramadan.
I was never really interested in your country. It's a shadow of what it used to be.
Either you're a Gercuck or a self-hating Pole from Poznan.
Into a woman.
Poland in comparison to Germany:
>worse infrastructure
checked
>worse medicare
checked
>100x worse air quality
checked
>worse business environment
checked
>indefinitely worse educational system
checked
>inhumanly designed cities and public spaces
checked
>much worse money earning to spending ration
checked
>higher corruption
checked
>over 2 mil Ukrainian white trash instead of turks and pakis
checked
and this could go on and on
>Either you're a Gercuck or a self-hating Pole from Poznan.
I just happen to live in other places long enough to see how much of an utter shithole Poland is to be chosen as a living place, not to mention the shitty inhumane weather 2/3 time in a year
>Well, Polish people don't have a history of attacking other nations.
>t. never saw a polandball
you did?
how would you describe the difficulty now that you know it?
because i always have the impression Poles exagerate the difficulty and it's in fact not that hard if you know what all the rz, cz and sz mean
>some words have 13 tenses
Yeah very easy
pretty easy if you can shorten sentences to one or two words
The pronunciation is harder than the grammar.
But I know 5 other languages, so that certainly helps.
so what said is not the problem?
No. Immersion (zanurzenie) helps a great deal when it comes to learning the intrincacies of every language. All languages are difficult.
