China's entertainment industry is also starting to improve too. Even Chinese animation, Donghua, is getting better and is attracting a small audience outside of China. Chinese cars like Nio and BYD are coming to the West in about a year or two as well. They're finally catching up with Korea and Japan.

It wasn't until recent years when Korea (and now China) became more prominent in the West, and even with that they haven't gotten as much "fans" as Japan. You realize that both Korea and Japan have low English proficiency to many other countries in Asia right? Korean kids (if the family has money) will often go and stay in the Philippines for a few months to try and get them better at English. Korean's are mostly atheists and the Christianity is pretty surface level. Of course there are more serious Christians, but they are generally not the type of people you want to spend much time around as they are more similar in their behavior to Jehovas witnesses. Japan also has Christians.
