The rivalry between Ghani and Abdullah is expected to lead the country to a new political crisis, ahead of critical peace talks with the Taliban, while the United States began withdrawing its troops from the country.

Haftar own ambition is to achieve the position of defense minister in the government of his own making. It'll be up to the rest of the libyans to accomplish the dream beyond that while Haftar ensures future security.

Haftar put Ghadaffi in power to begin with

I've only ever skimmed the surface of knowing what goes on in Libyan conflict. You'll need to give me a rundown.

what's the /sg/ take on the oil crash and on the recession in general? long term effects in our discussed regions?
coming from a latAm persepctive I am thinking Venezuela could collapse, colombia could face a similar crisis to venezuela, and mexico will, if not collapse, become much worse under a recession (as it seemed to after 2008 if for different reasons, but ironically the peak of violence at the time coincided with the recession)

The unspoken of US plan for 21st cenutry latin america >Turn the southern cone (and other more or less moderate south american states) back from its leftist trend done, excluding Uruguay which is harmless >Turn central america back from its liberal trend Just about done, 2009-18, El Salvador was the last leftist/liberal government in central america >suppress cuban/VZ-funded guerillas in Colombia/Venezuela pretty much succeeded up until recently (FARC disarmament) but any action in Venezuela will cause a resurgence in mostly quiet ELN/neo-FARC cells >Turn Ecuador into a puppet state, remove Rafael Correra from power Done in 2017, Traitor moreno now turned ecuador into a puppet country >Turn Brazil into another puppet state, get rid of Cuban backed government Done, Bolsonaro marked the absolute end of the Brazilian lefts power Then they started fucking up, very recently but very badly (obviously could have been foreseen from Us failures in Eurasia) >keep a neoliberal government in power in Mexico failed by a landslide, not that AMLO is useful at all to any "resistance axis" >topple maduro and ortega failing pretty badly, with every option except military intervention tried >Get Evo Morales out of power No definitive move has been taken but if Maduro was gone by now things would obviously have been far more different for Bolivia. >starve and eventually topple Cuba , as well as crippling Chinese/Russian interests through above methods Failed. They may try a blockade if they are ballsy enough.
> However they've fucked it up very hard recently
This was my old post on the state of latin america. gonna update right now. 2019 was a huge year for latin america

before I begin with the rest I have to point this out Taking evo out was a rare victory in 2019 for ZOG. I am surprised it happened at all, but I guess the CIA is the CIA I was ignored ITT when I said there would be attempts at regime change archive.4plebs.org/pol/thread/210101013/#q210104880 >Bolton really thought Maduro would be gone by now. Bolivia was going to be next. Do you guys think he's ballsy enough to try to stop Morales from getting reelected? >I'm about 90% sure the US will use spooky tactics to try to get someone else elected, or get Morales impeached/claim vote rigging. However, what are the odds of a "recognized opposition leader"?
It seems to me that Russia and Saudi Arabia found a perfect chance to deal a 1-2 punch to US shale, timing it at the perfect opportunity, that is, at the moment where the US economy is already embroiled from CoV.
Not that it's an unnecessary expense on their part, in any case, because they also do need that money from increased volume because that same CoV is also hurting their own economies.

now for the update, will start with south america and cuba >Argentina back to peronist rule >Chile soon to be back in kirchnerist rule? anti neolib protests seem to point that way >brazil not sure, dont know too much about brazil. Apparently this crash hit brazil really hard, the left might have more potential there soon >Bolivia Not sure what will happen. as I noted I predicted that the coup would be attempted, however things seem quiet enough for the time being. >Ecuador got fucked with protests which shows that traitor morenos government has weak backing. not sure what happens next >venezuela They managed to survive all the CIA threw at them, but this oil crisis could cause a collapse regardless of who controls the presidential palace >colombia FARC and the ELN are on the rise again. also, oil is the most important colombian export as with venezuela and I think they will be fucked up along with venezuela when shit hits the fan >cuba It seemed like trump wanted to starve them into submission but just based on some vague stuff ive seen they seem to be doing really well, modernizing and with tourism. not that I like that but it works for their economy
I'm not an expert in it either, but from reading about Hafter a little >Was close bros with Ghadaffi >Put him in power after overthrowing the monarchy >Was his top general and head of military >Trained in the Soviet Union >Fought in the 6 day war against Israel >Was sent to fight in Chad >Got captured >Disowned/Betrayed by Ghadaffi >Recruited by the CIA and offered a deal where he would be given US citizenship in exchange for helping them overthrow Ghadaffi >Led a small insurrection in the 90's that failed >Arab spring comes >Ghadaffi overthrown >Second civil war start shortly after >Goes back in to create stability again >Plays off various different factions, sides with Russia again >US is in kind of a bind because they can't assassinate a US citizen, yet have to deal with him I could have gotten some facts wrong, but basically what I gleamed off him was that he is a true relic of the past that has, throughout WW2 to the Modern Day, strives for just one thing, a Free Independent Libya, and has gotten entangled in every faction/country/ideology/group to achieve that one goal.
Joseph Lewis
central america: >nicaragua seems like they are still getting fucked up from the economic crisis and political problems. Will even go so far as to say they are probably the regime change target for the US this year, either along with or instead of venezuela. Venezuela is too complex of a target, ortega is a semi-democratic leader in a smaller country less important to RU/CHI >honduras I haven't read much on them but they seem to be doing as bad as nicaragua. migrant crisis is driven by them. maybe a leftist gov soon. side notes: el salvador: doing very well under the new presidents policies, even if he is a zog bot peru: I think they had some sort of leftist surge in the congressional elections but im not sure

Wow. This guys a real linchpin. Also fucking hell he goes back. Born in 1943.
now for what I actually know about >mexico Mexico is very screwed. 80% of municipalities have links to organized crime. Violence is at an all time high. The economy is stagnant, and this was during the peak of our bubble that just popped. Unlike central american or south american countries that have a relatively strong federal government, allowing them to keep some order even in near-collapse conditions like venezuela, Mexico is much more rural, has many more medium sized cities and smaller towns. Mexico turning into a failed state is a very real possibilities if things dont get better quick. think 80-90's colombia but with better equipment and many more guerillas.
> they can't assassinate a US citizen they drone striked an american AQ leader in yemen a few years ago, not to mention chris dorner kek why would SA fuck with the US? Would the same apply to bolivia's natural gas?
Kevin Robinson
I wouldn’t go so far as to say Mexico is a failed state, but it’s certainly on the lower end of the spectrum. Russia in the 90s was tottering on the edge of being a failed state with the oligarchs stealing everything not nailed down. Syria and Yemen are examples of failed states.
>and mexico will, if not collapse, become much worse under a recession I'm ready for the collapse.
>why would SA fuck with the US? Shale is fucking the saudis, if they can kill competition its better for them. Also usa hates bin Salman, only Trump likes him.
>throughout WW2 to the Modern Day, strives for just one thing, a Free Independent Libya I remember Idris saying something along the lines of "The Germans who chivalrously fought and died on Libyan soil shall rest in peace". Haftar was born around the time when Rommel's Afrika Korps retreated, and just when he grew old enough to have permanent memories, the state of Israel was founded and immediately rejected by the Arabs.
I would actually cry at the thought of all this, but I do not have the tears. God be with the just among you, Libyans.
>try to have a discussion about latin america's changes over the past year and its near future >0 replies >people post girl pics like always why do I even bother

Nothing changes in Latin America Goblinos chimp out and sell cocaine
Not common at all, in fact the liberal subhuman "elite" had a heart attack when they found out about it Croats and Bosnians were also pissing their pants when they saw it and demanded it be shut down
Connor Williams
Lol, same thing would happen here, but 10x worse probably. I'm part Croatian but I hate that stupid cuck country ngl.

Not very common in Russia, and only local autorites doing this.
Ethan Wright
I don't exactly think of feet tickling when someone mentions FSB and torture, you know...
Benjamin Foster
Honestly the endless screeching of our neighbours is worse then Russian butthurt belt Descendants of Bosniak Mujahideen and Handzar SS division going on American and EU conferences to talk about about how "Serbs were the reel Nazis in WW2" despite Muslims overwhelmingly siding with the Germans
Eli Davis
but would you agree that the act of torture is erotic in it's essence?
Cooper Sullivan
Depends on its severity and if it's consensual or not.
Isaac Young
> Not very common in Russia, and only local autorites doing this.
you are mistaken, in every relatively large city there are such camps
