Please take note, Im asking this for all of us here that are considering to make a career out of this for the next 30/40 years of their lives with the goal of providing for a family. You cant just be reckless and risk being outed and lose your whole network/income/client base.

There's really not a lot of work. Art is the last thing people want to pay for these days, and most people have a friend who will draw for free for them. There's less and less money to be made as there are so many mergers now and no new businesses emerging. Just think on a local level. How many mom and pop Italian restaurants are going to open up and want to hire somebody to design their logo when there is Olive Garden with all of their chains and their nation-wide "branding"?

Looks like you traced most of it. The anatomy is off on the larger figure. You're getting hung up on the details on top when you need to be focusing on the basic skeleton first. right now, i do layout work in my field (i.e. drawing and painting backgrounds in cartoons) but can do more than that. ideally, i'd just like to break from the industry eventually and live off my own illustration/freelance remotely. right now though, it's not really possible. i'm still fairly new to the industry. i do manage a social life just by focusing on art-related events but it just gets a bit grating when EVERYONE i know is a bernie shill especially in the studio.

Basically you have two options. You can create smut for comission and eventually develop a dedicted fanbase of coomers. Most of them will be quuers or pro trans so taking hard political stances will be bad for business.
Second option is working for a company. There are several avenues for this but typically you will be part of a third party that companies hire out for a lot of different small projects. Every office break room has a comic strip telling you why its bad to steal office supplies and that comes from here. HR and the people on the top end are heaivly left wing and its made very clear that they are all friends. So if they find out your political leanings its done
If you truly want to be a right wing comic artist you need to establish yourself first; then once you are safe, you create a new art name and make DAMN sure you are doing something heavily stylelized that can never get linked back to the work you are known for.
