The US, to artificially guarantee demand for dollars made a deal with SA that all oil had to be traded using US dollars. That means the dollar is essentially backed by the life-blood of nations, oil. This means the US has been able to print money without facing inflationary pressure. Russia china adn Iran have been trying to trade oil in local currencies to undermine this hegemony. Right now, oil collapsing means there is far less dollars in circulation. If people start trading oil in other currencies all that inflationary pressure thats been plugged up for the past 50 years comes home and we see wiemar-tier hyperinflation.
The fed is going to pump global markets. Why not? It's not like the markets are not rigged.
