The government doesn't own the land, the landlord does. Don't get me wrong, people who are landlords as their primary form of income should be shot, but so should politicians. The idea that I don't have the right to stake out a piece of land, put my house on it, fence it in, and tell people not to enter without my permission is absurd. There is very little difference between having the right to prevent people from entering your land, and prevent people from entering your home.
