fwiw, the original Unreal Engine had a 256x256 resolution limit, which means that to fit the Twin Towers into a single texture, they'd have to either cut the Towers short or squish the rest of the skyline. Of course, a different solution is to just crop the towers into a separate 256x256 otherwise-transparent texture and put it immediately behind the first texture, but who knows, maybe they were lazy.

Also, Spector himself is 100% pro-globalist and downplays the game's real-life relevancy all the time. Sheldon Pacotti did most of the final writing in the game. Spector's original plot was similar in its skeleton, but was more about drug dealers and criminal elements than the final conspiracy/philosophy-centric version.
