PS: I currently drive a 2015 Subaru Impreza WRX STI with the wing off, spring/summer only. My winter car is a 1992 Golf 3 GTI that I got for cheap from my uncle.

Eh, German cars are more expensive to upkeep but you get a better driving experience, I have an x5 diesel, and a 335xi in a stick and I absolutely love these cars, neither one has anything exactly like it in an American car, but I pay a good amount to Keep them up to date on all Maintenance, if you keep up with them they are more reliable than any American car I’ve owned but the amount that costs doesn’t really balance out, it would still be cheaper to drive a Ford Escape instead of my diesel x5, but it wouldn’t be as fun. I haven’t owned a suburb sti yet but I think that’s my next car, I love manuals, and I like awd cars with forced induction, it doesn’t leave me any real American options .

I had 250k on my last 335xi when I sold it, it was the original engine and trans, replaced a clutch, replaced the turbos, and a bunch of little stuff, but there are not many American cars you can beat the piss out of like I do my cars and get 250k out of the original motor and trans.
