Cases doubled here in just 1 day. We should have 100 in about 10 days. Its getting gud and I am fully prepped
>40% alcohol
Not gonna make it
Nice try Pablo
I did the same thing. All the hand sanitizer and rubbing alcohol was sold out. However, the 80 proof vodka was well stocked.
>tfw I live in a state where 190 proof alcohol is legal
>just bought 4 extra large bottles of 94.5% grain alcohol
>>tfw I live in a state where 190 proof alcohol is legal
>>just bought 4 extra large bottles of 94.5% grain alcohol
Here you can buy 98% alcohol for 4 yuropoorbux from lidl
This. At least >90% is required.
>plebs who don't have a bathtub filled with potatoes in the garage
y'all motherfuckers needa learn how to ferment
>y'all motherfuckers needa learn how to ferment
Fermentation wont do you any good. You need distilation
Glorious, brother! Stay safe!
Got myself 6 regular sized bottles to stock up, I recommend it with 2/4ths milk, 1/4th melted chocolate and the rest of the good stuff if this all blows over. Add cinnamon to taste.
Also don't forget you can just boil off and bottle your own water rather than wasting money on bottled water.
Buying fresh fruits and meats in discounts and making jams, pickles and jerky should get you stocked up on a month worth of high calorie food, canned goods combined with rice or pasta after that.
Lastly don't forget to buy mold-proof filters (fuck the N whatever) when N98's are sold out, anything that stops black mold stops corona, just make sure to have eye protection to go with it.
yes ofcourse. But buying anything is just supporting international jewry. Literal stone age ''people'' knew how to make alcohol in any percentage, if you don't do the same, you are just fucking yourself over
That's because you are a fucking dumbass. Absolut is 40% edthanol and hand sanitizer is 70% iso-propyl not the same thing.
>Also don't forget you can just boil off and bottle your own water rather than wasting money on bottled water.
But its not about the bacteria in the water, its about the minerals and other shit like rust in the water that dont go away with boiling
>Get a fire-extinguisher you should already have stocked up (gold or black band only)
>Take beer or w/e other alcohol
>Spray with fire extinguisher till ice is swimming in the liquid
>Repeat till remaining liquid burns with a single spark
>congratulations you have now produced high proof alcohol
>yes ofcourse. But buying anything is just supporting international jewry. Literal stone age ''people'' knew how to make alcohol in any percentage, if you don't do the same, you are just fucking yourself over
I ve been making moonshine with my deaf uncle ever since i was a kid. Pic rel is him. He also has a fucked up hand
I'm assuming you have clean tap water or at the very least a filter. Of course if you can't trust the water source boiling isn't gonna cut it but I can guarantee you my self-bottled is just fine for human consumption and will stay that way for eternity since I bottled in glass and sealed while still boiling.
Just stockpile the TP. We have the data now. We know what the people really want.
I might start doing it too
No, it needs some water to effectively penetrate the virus. ~70% is ideal.
Don't ethanol make you blind?
You mislabeled "Spanish Americas".
I actually did this when I was in China. I got sick when I was there but antibiotics fixed it so I guess it wasn't kung flu.
Pic related was 65% and like 5 bucks or something.
Ethanol=alcohol in retarded man's terms. You're thinking of methanol.
Can confirm.
t. Chinese.
Bruh
This. Understand some biology at least before thinking bigger = better
Baijiu and coke is a pretty good mixed drink, my dude. Shit's kinda nasty by itself.
I live in a state where it's illegal but one liquor store still sells it. It's 190 proof too, not the 151 proof that is legal. It must be a rogue liquor distributor or something lol.
the beaners want part of the NWF?
dead goblins walking.
Fun fact: moonshine is made out of methanol which is why you go blind if you drink too much
>35 cups (8,333 ml) of 96% ethanol, 0.6 cups (145 ml) of 98% glycerol and 1.7 cups (417 ml) of 3% hydrogen peroxide, which is added to reduce bacterial contamination of the sanitizer "and is not an active substance for hand antisepsis,"
Moonshine is made by turning methanol into ethanol and ideally should exclusively contain ethanol, or at the very least enough of it to counteract the methanol completely.
If you get above 2% Methanol your moonshine is shit and I hope you test it on yourself before sharing.
that is just the heads you fucking dumb mongrel.
Is that a bolete? You can get those anywhere in the fall.
> Be gen X
> Be boxed out of senior leadership because of 70-80 year old Boomers
Goodbye Boomers, the selfish generation.
Can't I just dump a load of pic related onto some aloe vera gel for the same results?
If you want to risk 8 years in prison or literally getting shot in europe, yea you can.
Otherwise I might have to cross the pacific to do so legally, hence the may-may.
Yes but I believe they are talking about dilution with aloe gel to make hand sanitizer gel.
In which case, 40% ethanol won’t cut it, especially after dilution.
Yes, just make sure you dilute it to a final alcohol concentration of 70%.
That's only for bacteria
Relevant to viruses too. You want prolonged contact and 95% ethanol just won’t do.
That sucks. I went mushroom hunting in Finland once, so it's not all of Europe. These are the best. I pick a lot during hunting season.
151 works too. That's 75.5% alcohol and the minimum to kill the virus is 70%.
>not filling all the hollow space in the walls with potatoes
It's hidden. It's safe. It's not taking up any storage room. It will help insulate home from the cold, and potatoes love the dark anyway.
Fairly certain that's only because Finland has free use of everything that is non-exploitable nature written in it's fundamental rights.
The EU passed as many laws as possible to make going innawoods as hard as possible, to the point where even my hunting trips have to be logged and registered and I need a fucking permission to camp where I want to spend the night beforehand.
Then the EU may freely follow the log and hold me accountable for any damages to nature I may have caused, regardless of how lax the evidence may be or how low the chance a hunter would pollute a freqently taken hunting trail rather than peaceful asian men.
Pretty sure they just don't want people to live off-grid anymore.
I work in a hospital in Cleveland and just came down with a cold. How fucked am I Yas Forums
No it's not. Methanol in moonshine causing blindness is a meme from people putting wood alcohol in their drink to thin it out and make an extra buck.
Things like acetone is what are actually the danger in distilled liquor.
Moonshine is made by dsitilling the alcohol made from fermenting cron. Distillation does not chemically convert CH3OH (methanol) into CH3CH2OH (ethanol). No chemistryr occurs in distilling.
No migranes usually rule out corona instantly unless you've rarely to never had any without concrete cause (excluding stress and sleep deprivation).
If you get frequent headaches you may have to worry, until then the Gov't wouldn't do shit anyways.
How come you work at a hospital and nobody tells you this type of shit? It's undergrad biology to know how to cross-diagnose.

This works because potassium carbonate salts out the ethanol, right?
i think the virus is being blown out of proportion but that's just coping because i know my government is deliberately trying to cull our numbers
That being said, on to business:
i just read (in an article that didn't include sources mind you) that for an adult month supply you roughly need:
25-31 pounds of grain
5 pounds of dried beans
1 pound salt
2 pounds fats
52 fucking gallons of water

so how far the mark is it? anybody wants to chime in? plz no bully
You're right, methanol created by fermentation will not react while distilling, instead it will react with the carbon released during a later stage in said fermentation, like it is with most "dirty" alcohols.
The difference with moonshine is that the fermentation is rather uncontrolled and relatively short unlike with things like wine and whiskey which get decanted way past the carbonation stage, not as early into it as possible.
>40% concentration
>You need 65% or higher
Hope none of you fall for this Reddit tier meme
Supposedly those hand sanitizer dont work s good as well as washing your hands
Why can't people just buy soap ?
Methanol is still a good disinfectant, right?
Isn't yellow heet antifreeze almost pure methanol?
>Understand some biology
chemistry, viruses are not alive
They are portable however
The EU is also a giant cunt when it comes to farming too. As shitty as America can be in a lot of ways, muh freedum is nice. Pretty easy to be a wildman living in the forest here.
$3 gallon of vinegar. You are all fucking retarded.
When you wash your hands you wash the particle/pathogen off of you and into the drain.
With hand sanitizer anything there is dead, but it is still on you. Bacteria can uptake DNA from the environment and undergo transformation. This was discovered in 1944, wash your hands with soap and water if you can.
Not quite, it's really just very rapid very low temperature cooling that will, due to the external and severe nature of it freeze the water rapidly enough to seperate it from the alcohol, similar to the process of shockfrosting, it's actually a common brewery technique, just done as dirt cheap and apocalypse friendly as possible.
You are not however wrong with the potassium carbonate, but I'm fairly certain those extinguishers come with a light blue band and while potash isn't unhealthy if you bind it to alcohol it'd make for a decent disinfectant but a very poor fuel and even worse booze.
If you do have a powder extinguisher it might be worth getting some potassium carbonate to bind with alcohol though and then adding gelatine to make yourself some post-apocalypse disinfectant wound glue.
The chemical reaction you're describing is completely on point, it just requires more utensils to make sure the pearlash doesn't just bind both alcohol and water equally hence making it inconvenient.
Vinegar stinks and doesn't get you drunk.
Troof.
Stock up on Everclear. 2 parts Everclear to one part aloe vera gel = DIY hand sanitzer at 60% that won't dry out your skin
Don't do this it makes gas
Alcoholic compounds all have similar chemical and physical properties. If the concentration is high enough, it doesn't matter what kind of alcohol it is.
There was a TV program about a couple from Norway who went to alaska to race in a dogsleigh race in alaska, after they spent all summer building a cabin and getting comfy, then at the first snowfall the local police came in a helicopter and served them a court order to demolish their cabin and burn the remains.
Yeah, totally possible to live in the wild kek.
You the muhfugga who bought all the toilet paper?
Aloe Vera Gel and Isopropyl make gas, yeah gunna have to say you’re a retard
I doubt corona will escape if its rna is transformed into a bacterium, it doesn't have a mechanism to break down cell walls like phages do
60% is the minium, if you are mixing your own alcohol into a carrier to rub into your hands, remember that the carrier will reduce the % of the mix.
Meant for
>when coronavirus ends
Everclear isn't isopropyl.
delet this
You don't want to be poor in the post-corona world.
I know but it costs 3 fucking dollars and will last forever because vinegar is strong as fuck even if you dilute it some. Buy vinegar for sanitizing and alcohol for drinking.
>he doesn't know
WRONG!
Virology 101 viri have receptors that tend to break off if osmosis is too severe or rapid.
You want to keep at the very least enough water content for the virus to be able to absorb it, which means all the ethanol should be dissolved in water meaning you want disinfectant to be 100 to 140% proof, no more than that or it'll be one of those things like anti-biotics that don't fuck with viri whose receptors respond to thread fast enough causing it to grow immunity over time.
>Bacteria can uptake DNA
Virus is RNA tho
I was just talking about the general use of sanitizers vs washing.
Ethanol-denatured DNA isn’t going to be transformed by bacteria.
