In order to terraformars we need to do 4 things:
1. Find water or make water. This is taken care of
2. Strengthen the electromagnetic field
3. Ge the nitrogen cycle going in the soil after removing toxins from it.

I can't share anything much on it's progress but I'll tell you you're on the right path with hydroponics farms (although aeroponics and aquaponics has more potential). Check out permaculture and I advise purchasing some land in Nevada. Building an athmosphere on Mars won't be much of an issue once we are able to build an electromagnetic Field to keep the atmosphere from floating away from Mars.
