Anyone else find alcohol repulsive? I'm 27 and still don't get why people love it so much...

Can’t stand the stuff. I just use it to get laid. Otherwise I don’t drink it.

Alcohol by itself is fine. The culture surrounding drinking in the US is not. You hear conservative leaders preach against vices like weed, but they rarely touch on alcohol. The number of people who get shitfaced and then get behind the wheel to go home is horrible. Even worse, the number of people with multiple DWIs without any real consequence.

Drinking, for many, sits as some sort of deity to be worshipped and glorified. Fortunately that does down for most as they get older. They then realize that it was never a big deal to begin with, while still bragging about their running days.

I get falling-down drunk once or twice per year. Besides that, I don't touch alcohol.

But on those rare occasions that I do drink, I find it to be very enjoyable and very rewarding.

Alcohol in moderation is important. I don’t think it’s trash though. I love reading and drinking scotch and soda or the occasional Gin and Tonic. If you drink shit tier alcohol because you just want to get drunk you’re a degenerate though.
