Probably should stop calling it "the debt". We've abandoned any kind of financial reality. Once we let the government print the money, it was all over. They can literally print what ever they need, and this retarded nonsense about "balanced budgets" and "how do we pay for x" is just propaganda so people don't expect any sort of provided service or benefit from the fraud that is our government. They can print all the money they want, which is why there is no reason for us to pay taxes, or pay for healthcare, or rent, or really anything. It should all be provided to US citizens as a service.
