Oi lads. I just got out of the Army after 8 years in. I found out that the job I did in the Army doesn't pay fucking anything in the real world, so i'm taking the trade pill.
Any tradesmen care to share their stories or where I should focus? I'm thinking either Linesman or RAMTEC.

All u need to know is shit flows downhill and lunch is at noon, bud.

Look into IT, get certs it pays well and is easy on the body.
Isaiah Green
if u like the road Lineman can be pretty lucrative , >ibew fag
Cooper Powell
life's good huh? I got out in 2013 and I still wake up everyday totally stoked that I'm no longer in. I was infantry though so my life probably sucked more than yours lmao.
Good machinists can make a lot of money. After some time, you can open up your own shop. Military aerospace contracts are the best work you can get and they favor veteran owned businesses.
Definitely. 68x, comfy hospital settings and one field unit. I spent 90% of my time babysitting recruits that threatened to kill themselves if they couldn't quit basic.
The other 10% is putting infantry brains back together after they mopped the motorpool too hard and came down with PSTD.

There's an ugly, creeping despair sweeping over white people who are working class. Nobody really knows why its happening, but its taking a toll.
I assume that means you're around 26 years old? If so, sorry. The cut-off for making anything out of your life in the longterm is 25. You literally can't learn to do anything new after that, your brain has stopped developing. If you don't have a house by now, fully paid off, you'll never have one.
Sucks for you!
Tyler Thompson
plumbing pays well after apprentice, with little competition at times due to the demand in this field.
Wyatt Williams
Just get a job in the DoD, they have to hire you over non-vets first, and you'll typically already have knowledge of how military orgs work.
Parker Lewis
If your smart enough to wire a 3 way switch become an electrician. The hardest thing you will ever do is pull wires through existing construction that is fucked up. At worst, you will make a huge mess that the other trades will have to fix. Assuming your to stupid to be an electrician the next things you want to try for are finish carpenter or plumber, but these trades require real skill that takes time to develop. Assuming you want a hard job and be undervalued there is masonry, drywall, painting, tile work, rough carpentry, or landscaping. I am sure I have forgotten some along the way. The only way to really get ahead is to have a crew that makes money for you. That being said getting a crew together is harder than being a trades person.
Not only is OP a porn posting faggot Not only is OP a retard asking for career advice from an anonymous image board But OP is the special kind of vomit that bumps his own thread.
Anthony Hughes
Electrician if you can. HVAC second. Please don't take gibs like a nigger and contribute to the problem of vets being viewed on the level of illiterate black single mothers in the workforce
Brayden Ross
Had a cousin get a non-deployment condition to fill out his 20 years as a recruiter in the NG. Hated training people with a shit officer, but he had those in the Army too. Just became a recruiter. Was Airborne before.
Ryder Jackson
that sounds awful. but I get it, if I was stuck in the 30th AG I'd want to kill myself too lol.
Jordan Russell
sure thing r*tard

>I am a zoomer living at home, the post.
Ryan Brown
Fuck trades besides plumbing, electrician, and welder. Why not go be a LEO or go into security. Security easily makes over $100k per year and a 5 year LEO makes over $80k before benefits. Or you can go ice or border patrol and make $120k. Or if you're really smart go be a teacher, they get the most days off and the most pay. And if you were in the military all the schools want you.
Kayden Scott
Worked in the private sector for two years before going back in. Hated it. Was an IT guy in a hospital. Too many pussies and women.
Michael Morris
That is kind of funny... I had the exact opposite happen to me. I was an office monkey with a degree and it drove me to drinking, smoking and suicidal thoughts. I quit and started doing physical labor and I no longer wanted to drink, stopped smoking and was happy for the first time in 10 years.
Ayden Anderson
Look too perfect
Gabriel Williams
Bro, do HVAC, truck and transport or heavy equipment mechanic, there will always be a need for you and skilled labour is always in demand. Bust your ass and you won’t have anything to worry about.
Blake James
Can she breast feed with those?
Gavin Peterson
Learn something like welding, plumbing, electrical, shit like that. I started out being a go-for and 10 years later Im my own boss. I highly recommend working for yourself when you get the exp.
Kevin Cox
What I wouldn't give to suck on those taters
Daniel Smith
>I found out that the job I did in the Army doesn't pay fucking anything in the real world Yeah, hard to find a job where they pay you for killing and raping women and children.
Robert Ross
>easy on the body. Like fuck it is. >glued to a chair all day >never eating right cos too busy >always working late and weekends
Lincoln Lewis
Electrician is pretty high on the list. I'm near a major manufacturing facility, like 3rd-4th biggest in the US and skilled labor jobs can't be filled fast enough. Do any of you have thoughts on RAMTEC?
Chase Parker
>I'm a 22 yo zoomer who's never had to work for anything in my life, the post
Bentley White
I trained as a welder and now make stuff for the automation industry. £30k plus a year. Learning to weld can open up many doors for a decent living.
Anthony Rodriguez
Most trades are easy on the body like transport and heavy equipment, most top properties have good lifting tech
Joshua Carter
The work I was doing was a mental health specialist, essentially a psych-tech. Which pays, at most, like 14/h. And that's working with drugged up niggers and a huge commute.
Levi Hall
Consider going into the fire department. What you want to become is a fire fighter emt. They do the first responding and aren't the first ones into the fire. Apply to yuppy neighborhoods, those are always the safest. Don't flaunt your military experience, play it off somewhat, just say you want comradery and to settle down. 1 day on 2 days off. Once you make captain, your risks of going into a burning building drops considerably. Maybe find someone whose willing to take you whilst you get emt cert and you work your way in as firefighter emt. Again, make sure you fit in. Don't be a military try hard. Make battalion chief and your for life.
Aiden Clark
Trades are good because your body releases feel good chemicals when you’re doing shit with your hands that isn’t typing. The only issue are the sheer volume of cheap cunts (mostly foreigners) coming in and winning jobs solely by underbidding. All of those paki shack shitholes aren’t even worth working in since they won’t last long 10 years. But the builders who know use mostly small outfits for their subtrades since it is so invaluable to have a reliable guy who actually knows his electrical/HVAC/carpentry/plumbing. Even drywallers can make good money, being a good mud/taper is where the real money is and it’s way less hard on the body than hanging board. There needs to be more white people who actually treat their customers well in the trades, the real problem is all the foreigners who aren’t even trying to provide a good product destroying new homeowners with their insurance money pits.
Apparently welding in the gas distribution industry pays a lot. source: Bureau of Labor statistics
Cooper Cox
Opposite for me. I did hard manual labour for most of my adult life. Recently luckboxed my way into a really comfy office job, and I'm more chilled out than I've ever been.
Lineman. Be prepared to sacrifice and work your fucking ass off. But you were in the Army, so it won’t be too uncomfortable.
Adam James
Well robotics is all cool and all, I say get your foot in the door with heavy equipment mechanic, you get well versed in hydraulics, electrical and plumbing, the beauty of vehicle mechanics is it typically combines many trades. Once your foot is in the door and you show potential you could be sent off to further education, particularly electrical vehicles and robotics. Robotics is basically all software, electrical and hydraulics.
Robotics properties would hire a heavy equipment tech before a greenhorn.
William Hill
>Nobody really knows why its happening Stratification of IQ within society. We are seeing the development a true underclass, limited by their biologically determined intelligence, who are increasingly unable to compete in an advanced technological society.
Cyber. Great trade. No physical labour. Great pay. Worked for me.
Samuel Robinson
I wish I joined back when I could still stand people as a species. At this point I'd stab someone.
Elijah Brown
IBEW here, being an electrician is pretty dope.
Jordan Powell

Nathan Williams
I hear they have one of the lowest survival rates of all jobs. I've been exposed at least twice to deadly electricity sources as only a forklift driver. One mistake, bam.
Asher Jones
Important question: is it an office full of men or women?
Justin Moore
Hitler knew they'd use nigger music and porn to drag everything down to their level.
Jackson Russell
Electrician, plumber(gets paid weekly) or any other trade, important is that you like what you do.
Brandon Nguyen
Who asked you, Niggerfaggot?
Gabriel Gutierrez
>I say get your foot in the door with heavy equipment mechanic, you get well versed in hydraulics, electrical and plumbing, the beauty of vehicle mechanics is it typically combines many trades. what exactly are you referring to here? industrial machinery used in manufacturing? or like heavy vehicles used in mining and construction?
Ian Evans
Millwright mechanic is stationary industrial mechanics. The shit you work on is typically bigger but it doesn’t move anywhere. The money is where things move in mining, forestry, oil and gas and public transport of goods and people.
Ryder Davis
Women, but they all love me and let me get away with anything. More importantly, my line manager is a much older woman, so she's very old school.
David Flores
The demand for robotics is built upon the demand for skilled labor. There are literally hundreds of cnc machine shops in the cleveland area. there are fewer in columbus but still plenty. They desperately need people to learn cnc and program their machines. someone who can cut chips and inspect their own parts is invaluable to a shop like that. Do that for 2-3 years for a company with a lot to teach you and combine that with RAMTEC and you can go to work at a ton of companies.
That is provided you are socially normal and aren't a total sperg, which is not a guarantee
Nolan Cook
'Set for life', i made other typos but what ever. If you can make it into a rich neighborhood and progress to captain or battalion chief, then the most you'll ever have to deal with is stupid bullshit like moving some old yuppies coach. Let me stress that it's not so a military culture, but more like the boyscouts as men. You have to adopt the mindset of a more regular guy, but with a uniform. They're not soldiers or cops, but if you can make it as a firefighter emt as captain and above in a rich neighborhood where the shift is 1 day on 2 days off, then your set. It is the EASIEST job in the US.
William Walker
Army for 8 years. Of course i'm a fucking sperg.
Also kind of disgusted that you know where I am, but hey, thanks for the advice glownigger.
