I've been using the 3M half-face respirator with the classic organic-vapour/N95 particulate combination, and so far, in my experience: >vapour cartridges can last for days (been wearing one for 4 days now, no difficulties in breathing yet) >N95s wear out after around 12 hours of use, can be stretched to 18 hours >respirators are superior to masks, and easier to wear for longer periods of time (they don't stink as badly either)
If you can't find N95 filters or organic cartridges, remember that P95 filters can still be very helpful. Any protection > no protection.
Stock up on: >rice >beans (canned AND dry) >means of filtering water (carbon filters, lifestraws, Britas, RO systems) >proteins - preferably whey >multivitamins >vitamin C
WHEN STOCKING, DON'T FALL FOR CARBS-ONLY. Meals should preferably consist of CARBS, FATS and PROTEINS, with a serving of vegetables for nutrients and vitamins.
