12-year-old British boy has been strangled, kicked, and punched after he was chased down by a gang of youth thugs in Great Barr, outside Birmingham.
West Midlands Police are currently investigating the attack which saw a group of youth thugs chase 12-year-old Mackenzie down before throwing him to the ground and kicking and punching him while he begged them to stop, Birmingham Live reports.
In a bid to find the evil and vile perpetrators, Mackenzie’s mom Amy Webster shared an appeal on her son’s social media.
“Never thought I would have to be one of the parents who write this. Today at just before 9.45am my son, Mackenzie, was assaulted by a group of Year 9 and 10 pupils”, Ms. Webster said in the post.
“They chased my son and his friend down Malthouse Lane, onto booths lane, and assaulted my son for his bike and his phone.”
“They thought it was acceptable to put their hands around his throat and hit him in the face.”
In response to the mother’s online appeal, one commenter wrote: “Horrible world we live in,” one said. “Hope he’s OK. Physically he will heal quickly, mentally he will not. Breaks my heart as it has happened to my own kids.”
While Ms. Webster says that she’s waiting for police to find the culprits, she adds that she doesn’t have much hope for that happening anytime soon.
“I think everyone in Great Barr needs to be more vigilant during school times. If they’ve done it to my child there’s nothing stopping them attempting to do it again.”
A spokesman to West Midlands Police said an investigation is currently underway.
