I try to eat good, and doing so more or less eats up my entire budget every month. I have health issues so I need to eat healthy. Eating healthy has a measurable impact on my health. Eating healthy takes pretty much my entire monthly budget. IDK. It's really awful. If I eat microwaved food, or just really carb-heavy dried foods like pastas, then I could prob eat much cheaper, but that is unhealthy, makes you fatter, exacerbates your health conditions and makes the problems worse (and this means you end up staying on welfare)

I fucking kick myself for not getting help in my youth every day. People who do get just enough to live on. My life would be so much better. Instead, I jumped around from job to job, always gettting fired, always having problems, eventually ending up homeless and living as a vagabond for a long time. I didn't get judged "disabled" until I was 27, and by that time it more or less because it was clear to the state that I was embroiled in a life of crime, or at least an illegal lifestyle (due to vagrancy laws and so forth). So I was able to get on welfare after a lengthy process that I was barely able to complete.

If only I'd been able to just get on that shit when I was young and my problems started, my life probably would have taken an entirely different track. I'd probably be OFF it right now, since I'm pretty intelligent and can actually create / invent stuff / learn stuff. I'd have probably learned a skill during my 20s rather than living a harsh rugged homeless lifestyle that exacerbated my PTSD.

So eventually there was some intervention from a psychotherapist, and he explained the situation to the state, and they were basically like "OK, lets give him welfare cuz otherwise he's probably going to steal from people and be a vagrant, and welfare is cheaper than holding someone in prison".
