Can anyone explain what's with intelligent NPCs? I noticed a lot of people on campus who are more than capable of doing well in higher level math, physics, chemistry, etc. courses, but lack much ability to think for themselves otherwise. Seriously they're like mentats or something, super weird
Can anyone explain what's with intelligent NPCs...
Math skills are extremely basic shit. You can program the simplest of computer programs to carry them out. But have you ever tried to program a program for awareness or judgment? Not so easy. The same is true for humans.
You can read all you want about art, it doesnt mean it will make you into an artist.
They’re just ai with pre programmed instructions.
Pic related is the short version. Don’t have the long one.
If it's so simple, how come there are NPCs with considerably better math skills than you?
Not everyone has the same soul quality. Their purpose is to be a slave.
>Yas Forums user slowly coming to terms with the fact that people who disagree with them aren't mindless drones
Because...it's basic. Did you actually think you were supporting an argument other than mine with that comment?
its high iq but shit everything else
What is Roosh's speech? who is Roosh?
These are the retards who think you are a NPC and pushed this shitty psyop. HUE
Nah I wasn't referring to political beliefs or anything. Some people just evidently lack a certain essence of character; they just don't seem soulful
Nobody believes reality is subjective though
You're confusing intelligence with cleverness.
A calculator can do complex math very quickly because it's clever, but is it smart? No, it can't originate a math problem or even show you how it got it's answer, it just runs a program.
Now you may think comparing humans to a machine may not be fair.
Raccoons are notorious for manipulating complex latches on garbage bins to get into the garbage to eat and make a mess. They are clever, but are they smart? No, they're eating garbage.
Bread and Circus. Most people have all their needs met and have never had to struggle so they don't question the system. Good luck getting people to give a shit about anything that doesn't directly effect them.
btw fuckton of Yas Forumsfags are same category not dumb as rock but still drone
That is true, intelligence does not guarantee wisdom
Yeah that’s not what’s happening here
I never followed or cared about who it is but I think he was a youtuber with a presence during gamergate or some other episode of feminism vs the US
Autism is a hell of a drug.
>That is true, intelligence does not guarantee wisdom
Intelligence=a tomato is a fruit and not a vegetable
Wisdom=a tomato doesn't belong in a fruit salad
Look up the difference between intelligence and wisdom, portunigger.
In all seriousness though I actually do have a theory that has no real research behind it obviously, but essentially it's that the hyper intelligent tend to lack social skills and be somewhat reclusive so their politics attempt to rectify this by being overly inclusive. They also tend to have no real life experience due to genetics (mostly) bringing them from "better" homes thus being sheltered. Obviously there are many cases of "genius's" or "prodigies" coming from lower class families and I think their paranormal focus on their work makes them somewhat oblivious to their surroundings. Also people should note that my post isn't referring to race, but rather poverty, ignorance, and stupidity being the outside factors.. sadly which are influenced by genetics. Can't always get what you want I suppose.
Intelligence does not equate to depth and discernment.
They can follow directions really well, but they can't explain why. When I was much younger, I came to understand that all systems of information involving words has some kind of root basis to it that is easily understandable intuitively. But math, no matter how you slice it, doesn't. It's entirely arbitrary. If you ever want to see someone have an existential crisis, go up to a math teacher or professor and ask them why things are done this way. They will always end up referring to some kind of appeal to authority. If you disarm them of that without engaging their anger, they will seriously have a moment where they realize, "holy shit I really can't answer this question." I don't advise that any anons do this to their current teacher or professor. They will make your life a living hell because of the existential crisis you plopped in their lap.
NPC are skilled at repeating what the authorities say.
>If you ever want to see someone have an existential crisis, go up to a math teacher or professor and ask them why things are done this way. They will always end up referring to some kind of appeal to authority.
What exactly are you referring to? Most mathematics (not at graduate level ofc) can be understood quite intuitively.
You missed the point or you are being intentionally obtuse because my post doesn't fit what you were trying to accomplish as a point in your thread. If you didn't grasp it from what I already put, rephrasing it or going into more depth isn't going to make it graspable for you. If you're just being intentionally obtuse, then free shrugz.
Making stupid decisions doesn't mean you're not thinking. Smart people are absolutely capable of making stupid decisions.
A calculator is better at math than any living philosopher, user. Or any living mathematician for that matter.
I hope youve been diagnosed.
This is a common misconception. Yes a calculator can solve problems with set or defined parameters much quicker than many human beings, but it still took a human versed in coding and mathematics to create said device. A "calculator" would not exist without the human mathematician and is working within a specific scope designed by the very people you're downplaying.
Listen to some William Pierce, he talked about that decades ago. How intelligent you are has nothing to do how independent minded you are, he's personally seen more bus drivers and janitors who see the truth than scientists. Humans are not some sort of black and white linear machines, people like Molymeme are full of shit.
So quickly you go to the bottom of the barrel shill tactic, Herschel. I didn't even insist on being listened to or anything, I just placed my couple of posts and was leaving, but you just had to try and place doubt, huh? Just goes to show that what I said must have a ring of truth to it or you wouldn't be reacting to it the way you are.
>God why do the people I walk past but never talk to such NPCs who can't think for themselves but they're so capable at other things?
Oh man you're so close to figuring it out for yourself! Good job!
Maybe - just maybe - there's nothing special about you and nothing missing from everybody else but you simply don't know a single one of them very well, especially compared to yourself?
You sound like a schizophrenic person who is just bad at math.
Compartmentalization? Being good at math and science doesn't make you brave or resistant to peer pressure. Most people who are good at math and science have shitty, childish taste in music, books, movies. Why would their taste in politics be any better than their taste in music or movies?
Don't be retarded. Math is tied to logic, and whether or not it can be done by a computer is irrelevant. Math skill and interest is a core male trait, and it's one of the reasons women are so rare or just outright fail in many STEM fields, particularly engineering, math and physics.
I am a writing tutor on my campus. Reading essays written by STEM bros is all the proof I need
I noticed that math majors usually wrote fairly well. They tend to be clear and get straight to the point. Other science majors or engineering majors...not so much. Some of them wrote well, others didn't.
You sound like you're intentionally deflecting from the overall point how everything in math, regardless of results, still circles back to some kind of appeal to authority when it comes to the question of why, specifically, in regards to the reason things are done a certain way. For an example, the methods and tools used in math are almost always named by the person who "discovered" them. Again, appeal to authority.
Both of you that have replied trying to discredit me are doing so from a false basis. You probably believe that just because of what I said that I disregard math altogether or that I am bad at it. But the truth is that I still acknowledge it's practical use in the current material world, I just pointed out how regardless of everything else, no matter what it always boils down to an appeal to authority when it comes to the answer of why we do things a certain way when it comes to all things involving math. That is the truth that you both can't seem to deal with.
I don't think you know what an appeal to authority is.
>The methods and tools used in math are almost always named by the person who "discovered" them
Wow how unique! This definitely only happens in mathematics!
I think you may be on to something here!
I think you're just going to deflect endlessly because what I said disturbs your sense of reality, makes you feel self-doubt, and that compels you to deny what I have said by any means necessary available to you.
>Nobody believes reality is subjective though
Show someone who has an objective view of reality a picture of a tree and they will tell you it's a tree.
Show someone who has a subjective view of reality and has been bombarded with propaganda that says trees are a symbol of white supremacy (because white supremacy is rooted in colonialism which spawned from the Age of Exploration due to ocean-faring ships which were built out of wood), and their response would be:
>That's racist.
Of course you will argue this point, so let's take this exact same scenario and replace the picture of a tree with a blank piece of paper with the words 'It's Okay to be White' on it.
Nah, we realize we're talking to a schizophrenic who thinks "all systems of information involving words has some kind of root basis to it that is easily understandable intuitively" but that math isn't intuitive to understand AT ALL.
I never said it was exclusive to Math dumdum. But I already had said that while systems of words always have a root basis that is easily understandable intuitively, math does not. So put two and two together dumdum. What's the reason in order that math teachers explain as to the why?
1. Because we have always done it this way user.
and then finally
2. Because the guy who discovered it says we should do it this way user.
>scriptdigits
Shill confirmed. Read the above and kys Herschel.
saying "you are not using your terms and examples correctly" once is neither a deflection nor endless.
>symbolism doesn't exist because reality is objective
not sure if this is the right description, but id call them institutionalists. you are finding them on a campus so they are going through the motions of being middle class. they do what is expected of them with little fuss or deviation. they learn what is required and their mind doesnt stray. they prefer to play it safe as they lack the experience of being own their own. they will fit perfectly behind a desk.
>So put two and two together dumdum. What's the reason in order that math teachers explain as to the why?
Go grab 2 of your schizo pills and put them down on your desk. Then put down 2 more.
How many schizo pills do you have, now? 4.
Why?
Because you just fucking do. It's how math works.
>>Scriptdigits
>Shill confirmed.
Your own post literally ended in "scriptdigits", are you also a shill?
Or do 1/10th of posts just end in doubles because that's how math intuitively fucking works and there's nothing special about it?
One thing that inspires me, is uh, being young and naive drinking cheap lambrusco wine in the Gianicolo hill overlooking rome, love that memory.
it’s this. there are NPCs out there who are smart on the books but don’t want to critically think about anything serious in their life. so they play along and do exactly what the establishment tells them
He literally explained that in the first post you double digit retard.
That's not what you said originally. Don't rephrase what you have said dishonestly and then claim you are not deflecting. That in and of itself is a deflection. The endless part was me predicting that you likely won't leave me alone now itt because of what I said in that post disturbing your sense of reality. NPCs can't handle self doubt because NPCs cannot consider an idea without first accepting it, and because of this flaw you have you feel compelled to lash out at whoever disturbed your sense of reality.

The discourse on here about internal monologue is braindead. 99% of people have it and it doesn't explain the NPC phenomenon. My construct does.
>inb4 go back
You'd be one of the morons calling trees racist.
Listen. If tomorrow there was a concentrated effort to paint sunlight as a symbol of white supremacy I have virtually no doubt you would completely and radically alter your sleeping cycle so that you slept through the day and were awake at night...and you would see absolutely nothing strange about that, at all.
>further deflection from the point despite my acknowledgement of math's practical use in the current material world in a previous post as shown here
>more adhom kike projection
>feigning ignorance of scriptdigits meaning while also saying there is nothing special about it
>disregard of threads with multiple sequential match digits that completely obliterates hypothesis about there being nothing special about it
Trying to chase after two rabbits won't catch you a single one, Herschel. Like how I flipped that on you? Kek.
"I don't think you know what X is"
"You are not using X correctly"
are basically the same you weenie brainlet.
