It's easy to understand if you ever touched any grand strategy game that's realistic in its realization whatsoever, or even by comparing it to other conflicts/offenses in the past. If I compare this with the german general staff's strategy to force the soviets to capitulation during the beggining of barbarossa, for example, their goal was to take Moscow to control the biggest of the infrastructure. On those pics you can clearly see roads and cities, and Idlib is very close to this. The BOOOMBING proves that the SAA know this, too. By controlling the infrastructure you get multiple advantages, but the one that I see and that the SAA High Command is probably seeing too, is that: >they can launch a breachhead on the other side of the M4, putting more pressure on the overall front >they have an enormous opportunity for an all-out offensive on Idlib >possibly encircle the big of the roaches' army and inflict a decisive blow on the Rebels In short, if they get the points showed on pic related they have basically won.
Do any of you guys any good documentaries about the war or certain battles in general? Or any in depth statements about certain battles. All you get on jewtube is garbage even for globohomo standards

When has Putin ever done the right thing militarily. He does politics. This meeting wouldn't be happening if he had listened to his in-the-field generals 3 days ago. He will fuck it up.

Not even the first time this happens. If I remember correctly, the T-90 they lost in Khan Tuman in 2016 was recaptured like a year later.

Sometimes I have a dream where I'm the jalad of assad, he's tied to a wooden chair in a basement and I have all the time in the world with him, oh the things that I would do...
Because there must be war and running your war machine on a war you know is better than starting an unpredictable one. The Jews know it the Iranians know it, the Russians and the Americans know it, they all know it.
I swear to fucking God not even messing around I knew you would say this

no. the SAA wants to shorten its lines. the are now in greater danger from drones and the rebels are even better armed. the sensible strategy now is to attack from the south to the north in idlib, being careful to keep lines short and fortifying new gains. they cant carve up the rebels anymore due to the turkish intervention. the battle for the SAA must become more conservative and grinding.
