I'm not, my post doesn't say when the anime came out. The manga is pretty much a black and white version of the anime. They look very close save some hatching instead of cel shading but that's standard.

My guess is they can commission shitty 3DCG shows from the 3D anime support studios for much cheaper than they could commission an actual traditionally animation original. Especially in terms of a show that will be "exclusive" even in Japan.

look we all know that traditional animation will look better - but you have to know its because its easier to express art in its full form through drawing. Animation has not gotten to that point nor will it ever in the near future. The netflix CGI looks ok for what it is. "what it is" being the context that yea CGI sucks. and well done CGI ala-final fantasy costs serious $$$ and takes forever to develop.
That being said: this dilemma opens up an additional unadressed problem and that is you prefer traditional animation because they seem to depict the unrealistic fantasies and people that you so "expect". And thats why the CGI is not good enough for you. periodt,
