It can be seen as a satire on modern feminism.
The book starts as a mix of some hammy shonen and "Animal house" and ends up being a romantic melodrama with moments that can remind you to "Berserk". Maybe you should give it a try

It wasn´t that terrible, slut-sempai subplot was cute, so it was the Meiko/Kate taxi trip and last Kiyoshi/Hana date was heartbreaking.
Maybe the climax was unsatisfying but you have to admit the mc didn´t deserved a happy ending as the series progressed.
