It completely undermined 1 and 2 with the mind control anime bullshit, making it so the class from 2 were all pure little angels that did nothing wrong. And later reviving them all, even though the message of the damn series is to hope in spite of despair, not have everything turn out perfectly well and dandy. It was like a bad fanfic plot that somehow became canon. But I'll admit the double anime idea was really cool. And it was a fun ride.
