Should have known. Thanks for those user

Are you me?

I ended up watching this in double speed because every shot was so fucking slow, I just wanted to get it over with.

a giant metal orb descends onto a sea, covered in metal statues. a girl with an egg in her shirt wakes up and walks through a empty city, filling various jars with water. after tanks rumble through the city, she meets a man carrying a metal cross, looking similar to a gun. they walk with each other, while ghostly fisherman spearfish at shadows around them as the city floods, before coming to some ancient building. they talk for a while. the girl then goes to sleep. the man breaks her egg while she's sleeping. she wakes up and searches for her egg, only to find it destroyed. she screams, and throws herself into a well. the man walks out onto a sea shore, and sees the orb descend. a new statue has appeared on the orb. the camera zooms out, and the entire world shown so far is revealed to be on top of the ark from the biblical story.
that's the literal plot of angel's egg. the plot doesn't matter. You can read literally whatever you want into it, which is exactly its appeal - its ambiguity. do you want to see it as two people fucking around in some dark weird place with trippy shit happening all around? go ahead. want to read it as some allegorical christian depiction of the crisis of faith or whatever? Go right ahead. want to see it as some post-apocalyptic sci-fi story on the destiny of humanity? sure. but what angel's egg is, more than anything, is a collection of images in sequence for you interpret it as you wish. If you think it is pointless, then so be it - if you think there is something more to it, so be it. this movie doesn't judge you either way. to me it's really comfy, because it never feels like it's trying to be something other than what it just is.
tl;dr just switch your fucking brain off and watch the cool pictures lmao jesus

What's on the top right. Only one I haven't seen. Loved all the others.

nothing good that's for sure.
