I wanted C to win but damn J is better, bestest taste ever. Dia is great with dorks and little kids.
Plus the pairs don't pander to subhuman shipperfags (RikoYoshi,YoshiMaru, etc). It's the best.

Why did they fuck up her name in the romanization? It's clearly written as Daiya, yet the official media uses "Dia"

This will be another aqua/pdp only thread again isn't it?

Sadly, µ's has too many haters.

Most musefags bring nothing to the table but flamewars, literally no one is telling you not to talk about muse. Is just that there is nothing going in with muse, there's no voting about anything, there's no new CD, no nothing. Just the AS stories and comics. It's natural nobody is talking about something that is inactive.
>µ's has too many haters
Bullshit. Everyone who likes the newer groups likes the first one.
The opposite is not true because of nostalgia sensitive faggots.
If anything, this board is based because the Sunshine had way better animation effects. The muse anime had washed out colors and less budget. Yet nobody says that.
The ones hating are the musefags, they will come and say they want the newer groups to fail, lmao. Even when Sunshine already topped in BD and CD sales they will delusionally say otherwise, and they will come here to shit on the new anime too.
Yet, I liked Muse. Nothing wrong with it.

I'm a µ'sfag and going by the number of responses to the OP prompt (e.g. desuarchive.org/a/thread/200882024/) there seem to be plenty of us in these threads.

µ's was groundbreaking in many ways when they came out, and it's only natural that Sunrise (and everyone else) would have taken notice, studied what went right, and how they can do better. Kind of like how Azumanga Daioh can feel dated as a SOL, if you're into that genre.
Similarly, I'd argue that plenty of Aqours's success was carried by the Love Live brand built up by µ's, though I'm definitely not saying that it was undeserved nor that they are unworthy successors (the Sunshine anime even had a meta-narrative saying as much, with Aqours learning to step out of µ's shadow).

Because it's an abbreviation for Diamond, and transliterations will generally stick to the English pronunciation rather than deal with the mess of English spelling.

I can't say you're right that Muse changed something, it definitely found a niche for the franchise that im@s didn't fill. But we're talking SOL seinen, there's a lot of them. I also think LL is special due to how it outlives its lifespan through the fan-artists. But not groundbreaking.
I agree with everything else though.
Aqours was a clever way to make a spin-off in the shadow of another, the setting was different and it showed how efforts sometimes don't get through to achieve your objectives.
It's so different I can't believe how mouthbreathers manage to say it is the same thing. Literally most of the plot in season 1 is them finding out they can't just imitate Muse, none of the problems they went trough as a group were the same as Muse.
Chika didn't pass out in the middle of a concert, their first live wasn't completely stale, Chika didn't stop the group because they saved the school, we didn't have a secret maid like Kotori, or Kotori moving out, no Nico, etc. Some of the problems were intrinsic to the boring/isolated setting of Numazu, like how they had to ride the mikan train back to another concert because the bus are so infrequent, or how they didn't "save" the school because the school is simply located in an inconvenient/unattractive place for most students.
The girls and everything is just too different from the first

This dork

All the degenerate have lewd body in the love live universe.
Just look at Setsuna, this shortstack is a fujoshi.

µ's has the baka trio.
Aqours doesn't really a baka.
I'm guess Kasumi for Nijigasaki.

Not these 3?

Kek

They're more the degenerate trio.

In AS, Honoka, Karin, Kanan, Kasumi and Nico are the new baka group. Kasumi and Nico tied for dumbest in the story.

>I can't say you're right that Muse changed something, it definitely found a niche for the franchise that im@s didn't fill. But we're talking SOL seinen, there's a lot of them.
By "groundbreaking" I wasn't referring to the anime alone (notwithstanding its breakout popularity), but in the impact that LL/µ's made on the industry landscape by essentially writing the playbook for new franchises. Things like idol-seiyuu, fan participation in content creation, or the genuinely "multi-media" franchise (compared to e.g. iM@S where the games have always taken top priority) used to be novelties or side-shows before LL; now they are considered normal or even essential.
>The girls and everything is just too different from the first
Of course, Aqours had to break from the mold of µ's in their own way as you've noticed, but my point was that this applies not just to the anime group but to the RL seiyuu group as well (that's the "meta-narrative" that I was alluding to).
I remember there was plenty of fury when the Sunshine members were announced, with several µ'sfags crying that Love Live was RUINED FOREVER or had "sold out to become a generic J-pop group" or something like that. All very silly in my opinion, but that's hardcore idolfags for you.
