It's absolute trash even by shonen standards it's complete garbage because we all know most shonen anime the story is just complete trash but Bleach takes that to a whole other level.
It's just a Yu Yu Hakusho rip-off: main character meets a girl and then starts working with her to take down enemies. A DragonBall Z rip-off with each arc literally just being strong enemies showing up and the main character getting stronger to beat them. Let in DBZ at least it's entertaining, in Bleach it's flat out boring.
There's nothing interesting about the story at all, ridiculous power ups to beat enemies, Ichigo being so broken he can literally do anything I mean this fraud character is THIS, is THAT, he has THIS power, he has THAT power I mean the author gave this loser EVERY power in the book. I mean every time you sneezed Ichigo had a new form.
And speaking of characters Ichigo is by far one of the most boring, bland, uninteresting characters that has ever disgraced the manga and anime scene. One of the worst characters I ever seen in my life. He has NOTHING going for him, nothing at all, all he wants to do is protect his friends he gets absolutely no character development through the series and the other character MY GOD are they bad. They only exist to make Ichigo look cool and he doesn't look cool at all there's nothing cool about Ichigo he's lame, he always will be.
''Chad'', Orihime and that quincy loser I forgot his name, you know who cares he doesn't even matter he sucks too. All of them SUCK they get no development their powers suck they're just fodder like why do they even exist? Cause it's really just the Ichigo show, he does EVERYTHING, every battle, he takes on everything himself, and it's just like so stupid he just always ends up winning. This is the cycle of Ichigo how bad of a character he is: he'll come, get beat, cry, come back and win. He just cries over and over again when he gets beat and then he ends up getting the power up to win.

As one gets older, battle shonen gradually becomes less appealing, perhaps silly, sometimes even cringe.
I find Bleach suffered a lot less from this, probably because of the art. Even as an adult I can look at some Bleach panels and think "yeah, this is kind of dope".
I also completely disagree with you on Ichigo, definitely one of the least faggoty MCs ever. One of the few who doesn't whine and scream 99% of the time in an annoying way.
